My baby has been going to daycare for over a month.But nowadays sometimes when we leave him there he starts crying and comes crawling to me making it hard for me to leave.And there is an old lady in daycare who is always complaining that my baby cries the most and kids in another room can hear it.I am so tired of her complaints .I mean don't all babies cry ?And then I wonder if I am spoiling him at home by being with him all the time and he even sleeps in the same bed as ours or in the other hand not spending enough time with him that he gets cranky .Anyone has any advices.If he is at home in the same room with us he is happy playing by himself ,so I am kinda worried. I understand how u feel..anu now knows i leave her too,though she has been in the same day care for 4 months now..but now since she has seen them for long time she forgets fast.
It takes time for babies to get adjusted to people there. yes i agree the day care people are trained to handle such situations and shouldn't complain but find a way to cheer him up. IF u can u can spend time with them for an hour or so..and slowly back out so he is comfortable. If u don't feel comfortable with the people taking care u can try for another place maybe..babies do take time to adjust and esp.at 6/7 months they know a lot more so if they are not used to it they will be fussy i think.
I think my main feeling of safety is because i know she is in safe hands, they take very good care, worry if she hasn't had a poopy diaper, give me tips on what to do at home, so i know she loves the day care people too..she gets excited to see them too and they have a smile when they see her..all this makes one comfortable..so whatever u do, make sure u feel good baby is safe.
Otherwise, at home u can slowly teach him or make him feel secure even if u go to another room u will come back...etc. babies learn difference of home and day care very fast and i assure u he will be comfortable in a few days..just make sure u follow same routine everyday. DOn't know how else i can help..Take care.
