Hi
How are u?How is Advait Doing?
I would like to Thank You again for all the help u have been doing to all of us here on IP
As u know i have Pcos
I wanted to to if there is a permanent solution to this .
I mean having regular periods,if we donot want to have children,Doctor says BCP is teh only option but without these medicines is it not possible to have periods regularly.
Also weight loss also helps in Controlling Pcos so wat should be done to have Periods regularly,is there no permanent solutions,Can u give some info on this as wat are the solution to this life long problem
Depression,Overweight problem being related with PCos i am not feeling healthy too.I feel a lot lazy tehn before.i feel why is this happeing to me only
Wat i have seen is if i Exercise periods are somewat regular else they are irregular and more
are Diet and exercise the only way to keep it in control
As i had enquired with u abt a sibling to Yashvita have not been able to get over to start with medication ,Wondering if there was amiracle by which it could happen naturally with out going around Doctors, but the other side is i am also getting older so should be thinking soon but just afraid too.
I would be grateful to u if u can suggest wat is the correct way to go abt it.I will be meeting a Doctor soon ,but wanted to hear from u too as i value ur comments.
Hope i meant wat i wanted to say exactly
Thanks once again and God bless u and ur family.
Luv to Advait.

Dear Naveena,
Thanks for your message and your love for Advait.
PCOS in some can not judged as to how long it will accompany.
There is not really a point in waiting for miracle to happen when you know age and PCOS will be working against the fact.
With PCOS it's not only irregular period but also trouble releasing an egg that's healthy enough to conceive.
I would strongly recommend treatment soon possible. By the end of this November Yashvita will be 2 years. This is perhaps good time to bring new baby so that it will be easier on you and your body.

Should you not intend to stay on BCP the only way I can imagine to introduce some amount of control over irregular and inadequate menses would be rigorous exercise, preferably aerobics in combination with watch on your diet. It might help you keep in healthy shape as well and the regularity and adequate menses will be a bonus.

I don't know exact age but if you are around mid 30s then don't delay even medication will not help as much once you are beyond 34 years, not that it will fail but will take longer to achieve success.
