Due Date Club July 2005:Hi all cold cough wheezing.....

Hi all, Savir is 13 mhts old. He is down with cold from monday. From last 2 days, he has been coughing. Whenever he does, I hear a wheezing sound. I took him to the doc yesterday, he said he has wheezing and his chest is filled with phlegm because of cold. This could be because of weather change. He has given some medication, which is like how they give for asthma. He should take 3 puffs twice a day. The doc also said if this continues couple of times, it could lead to asthma in future. He asked me whether we have a family history of asthma. I said not that I know. He said he can't conclude anything right now, so he said it is just wheezing. I am a bit worried. Any comments....

Hi Smile,
My kisses to Savir. Dont't worry. Last week even Lekha went through the same situation. Last sunday night she was in a miserable state. I took her to the ped. on monday. He gave her antibiotic (amoxycilin). The situation is improving.
One suggetion, you try giving him tulsi juice (if you get it)+ some honey. If not you can mix sandle wood powder+ turmeric+milk into a fine paste. Warm it a bit and apply on the chest, neck during night times. The first method has somewhat worked for Lekha.
We have stopped BM. Their immune system is not yet meture enough. Now is the time we have to watch for.
Don't worry, he'll be alright within no time.

Love,
Veena

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
