I am in 18th week and I almost gained 9 to 10 pounds starting from my pregnancy. Is it more ?? Can you let me know how much weight you girls put on after pregnancy.

u are gaining the right amount of wt...it should be 9 to 10 in 18weeks...confirmed by my doctor..now on he wanted every week the wt. to increase by a pound...this along with exercises everyday..don't worry...u seem right on track..Take care. Sweta replied. Hi anu

i think i am also in the same boat. i have started my 18th week and i have gain about 12-13 lbs. which for me i think is alot . i was really scared but my dr. said its ok. Ideally 25-30lbs in whole pregnancy is perfect but it does'nt happen to everybody. as i have tendency to gain weight i might end up gaining more then i should. but there is nothing i can do about it. we have to eat right at this time so i don't want to make compramise there , only thing we can watch is to avoid fatty foods. But i guess overall we have to deal with it coz it is also part of pregnancy. so enjoy:)

I lost a lot in first trimester, I have regained what I lost plus this 13 lbs. I think its ok, since I am also carrying twins. My doctor never told anything abt my weight gain, he said its ok. If we gain a lot its tough to sleep at nights and move around in the last trimester. And also tough to lose weight after delivery. Other than that any other -ves if we gain a little more than the standard??
Also since I am carrying twins it scares me if I dont gain weight every week. Hope this helps...
Bargavi Sandhya replied. I too had gained around 5 kgs from the start of my pregnancy till my 16th week check up. My doc told me to keep my weight down a bit. I'm now in my 18th week and carrying twins. Inspite of that he's told me not to gain more than a total of 15 kgs. And acc to him, most of the weight gain will come in the third trimester when the baby starts to put on wt. Thats why he told me to go slow now....But the hard part is not eating as since my 16th week I've been feeling very hungry, want to eat all the time....

Howz it with the others? Would love to know!!!
