Hi Archie,
I'm about to enter my 33rd week in 2 days.. and my BP is on the high.. its 150/95
How bad is this? and what can be the outcome of this?
My doc has asked me to monitor my BP on a daily basis and report to her if it ever goes beyond 140/90.. so i'm gonna speak to her about this tomm..
however, in the mean while, could someone pls suggest ways of bringing BP back to normal?

Thanks in advance guys.

for some high bp is a result of hypertension disorder or stress.

For some it's inherrent and means little.

if high bp is not accompanied by swelling on your face or proteins in urine then nothing bad can be expected. If you have protein in urine and swelling of body growing towards hand and face then it will be an induction or even C-section after 34 weeks.

your bp is high and you must take readings twice a day and report to your Dr.

See if there is any tension, stress and anxiety work on it otherwise you might need a pill to sail remaining weeks with BP in normal range.

Hi Archie,

Thank you for your reply.
As advised by you i have been monitoring my bp twice a day and it seems to be constant at 140/80 now.
Also there is a bit of swelling on my face and hands but it has been there for sometime now.
Also, my feet tend to get really swollen towards the end of the day but go back to normal after a good night's rest. This i think could be caused by the fact that i'm still going to work and end up sitting upright for more than 12-15hours widout rest.
i hope this is normal during this stage of pregnancy.
Thanks once again for your guidance.
