Hello to all. I am turning 23, unmarried. Recently I am diagnosed with PCOS, n i have this problem since 4 years.I am overweight by 3 kilos, my doc suggested me to shed this much kilos. but i am really scared for the future, whether ill be fertile or not. Besides loosing weight, what are the other things i can do for my regular periods...i usually skip out a lot months. one more question, is this problem increases with time if also i control my weight n lifestyle, as i m not planning to marry till 27 Priya replied. hi,

do not worry so much as PCOS is a very common problem and most of the women conceive with this problem without any difficulty. Since u are aware of it, better work towards it. Firstly reduce ur weight if u are overweight... walking in the morning will help along with lots of water through out the day. This will help to detoxify and if you can start good lifestyle such as yoga which will not only help you to reduce weight but will get all your small troubles into control. It will balance your harmonal levels.Most importantly once u decide for a family first try for atleast a year naturally without any tensions and medication.Mind plays a very crucial role here so your aim should be just to have a healthy lifestyle and conception comes naturally.
