I am a Malayalee too....born and brought up in Hyderabad though. I am not married to a Malayalee, but love following customs. With Vishu, just over should we share our babies' first Vishu pictures with each other?

it is a real surprise that suni is a malayalee too.great!!!!
yes we did celebrate vishu.had vishu kani and kaineettam.i managed to make a small sadhya.Appu(Adidev) really wanted to handle the kani!!!

More and more we know just by last name. Yes we did have vishu for anu first time(for others in the forum , its mallu new years day like maharashtrians have gudi padwa)
it was fun showing her the diya she loved the lit lamps.
I am uncomfortable talking about just us in the forum where we have all our friends and others may not be interested in just us(i may be wrong..sorry), we can talk by mails if u wish so..my mail id is radhikap @ hotmail.(com)
Pictures taken , nothing uploaded yet, was moving apts..so have been busy.
Never in the world thot suni/mateen was mallu name.have fun. Hope u had a nice weekend..was working this sat, but from way way looked she had fun with her papa. So all was ok..Take care.

My husband is not a mallu, but we celebrate all festivals on both sides. Sahil's kanni was a good one, we saw it at 3 in the morning!!!
