Due Date Club July 2005:first steps..

Hi friends,

Yesterday Nikku started taking her first steps. I made her stand in the middle of the living room and she walked atleast 10 steps. It was a great feeling to see her walk, especially since she is a very cautious baby.. I was bit sad for the last few days as Nikku was not keeping well.. She was having couple of loose motions, vomits and had low grade fever because of the new tooth coming out. But she really surprised me yesterday and made me very happy. So just wanted to share this with you all..:)

Now I am waiting for her to leave her hand on her own while cruising and starting to walk.. how long does that take?.. just getting impatient..:)

love to all kids,
Regards,
Bhairavi.

Its such a great news Bhairavi. Don't get impatient. For Arjun, it took just a complete weekend of walking practice all by himself to go from 5-6 steps at a time to walking all over the place. It was such a joy to watch him as he was really happy seeing himself making progress and so were we:).
Keep your fingers crossed as it all depends on child's interest. I heard from a friend that her daughter started taking couple of steps and then she went on to enhance her vocab ( learning new words) so she didn't show much progress until a month or so.

Hence, appreciate all her efforts and encourage her. thats the best way to go.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
