has anyone met Dr beena Vasan. I need to know about her before consulting her. I do not waste money in consulting many doctors. Can anyone let me know about her?

We consulted Dr. Vasan and Dr Beena for our problem in 2011-12 at Manipal. They did not solve a single issue and were just focused on minting the money. We had undergone 2 IUI and one IVF cycle. they are very rude and money centric.. No success..!!! Finally we found there is no point in continuing when Dr Beena let us leave in middle of our problems and asked us to go for Donor eggs and blah blah.... We moved out and consulted Homeopathy hospital in Bangalore. Within 2 months of medication my wife is conceived naturally now and we are waiting for our lovely Child.. So do not go for any IUI/IVF procedures. its just wastage of money..and pain. Our message for all the couples is you can conceive naturally provided you just leave the stress, focus, spend happy time . Suggest to go for homeopathic or ayurvedic treatments. I can see so many disheartened ladies here, B positive i think this wat which will help you the most.
I have gone thru one Failed IVF cycle at Manipal Hospital by Dr. Bina Vasan, my both attempt failed and still i dont knw any reason.

- Dr Bina Vasan is upfront and can b rude at times,but i think its her profession and she has to deal with many like us e' day, for us its vry emotional but for its a e' day affair.

- Now,abt the treatment and procedure, she is gud wid her diagnostics and at manipal i didnt feel she was wanting us to spend money unnecessary, the staff is vry helpful, its clean n tidy.

- Ya, the patient intake is vry high, one really has to wait for long for consultation,scans,Extraction and Transfer (it really vry uncomfy to hold ur bladder for so long), and nobody gives u bed pan u have t walk to the washroom ( which at many sites is not suggested)

-Dr Manju at Mainpal is vry helpful, u really dun need to talk to Dr bina. for petty issues dr. manju helps u wid it .

- I personally feel pregnancy is all ur luck, it depends on ur body a lot, with me we were 8 in a grp wid all varied issues related to pregnancy, few did conceive and few cudnt. i know people who have conceived with vry poor egg quality and people who cudnt conceive with good quality egg ( like me) .

Every where docs are same be it dr bina, dr kamini, i feel go where u feel comfy, close to ur house, staff is helpful.
and leave rest to ur destiny ..

BTW i think by now HUMAN must have started the treatment. All the best. ppp replied. i completely agree with geetha' s reviews abt bina vasan. i had my second ivf cycle with her which was again a failure.as geetha said, both the times she told that my eggs were poor only after the beta hsg report. she also suggested me to go for donor eggs without even realising the sensitivity of the procedure.... the amt of waiting is horrible on the enbryo transfer with full bladder. the way she explains s also too rude.(she calls it as staright forward).her main asst doctor dr.rina is also equally heart-breaking. on the day of embryo transfer, she will read out a paper saying \" all ur embryos are very average\" . this will actually dampen all ur spirits and hopes u had.
i would not recommend bina vasan for anyone. i havenot observed any new success cases there. please think before going to ankur.. Geeta replied. Hi, I have joined this forum just to help people like me. I had been to Dr Beena for my second baby. Before going to her i was taking treatment with Dr Gunasheela, and as it was very far from my place and also, i was superstitious about the numeroligy and the file number was not matching, i decided to discontinue there :-( . I went through the discussion forum to know who is the other best doctor whom I can approach and i read (old forums i feel) Beena vasan is good and approached her at Ankur. After going through my reports, asked me to do only one aditional test, AMH, and as my AMH was too low she told me i have option of IVF alone. As my left tube was also blocked, and i wanted to give a try, we agreed for that. Here is what she justified for IVF, along with the good quality spers, she can as well select good quality eggs and put me in Ovigen for 2months. As some other put their openion, she is very vague in replying, you never feel like asking any question once you get reply from her, and as I was confident that IVF will be succeeded in my case( i always conceived naturally, but could not continue it for more than 3months), i dint want to ask anymore questions and be notified in her eyes.
During the treatment, you will not be aware of the injections they give, you need to go as per the schedule, take the injection and come back, even if you ask the nursing assistants, they will say, \" ask madam\" . When my egg retrievel is over, Dr beena said, she retrieved 6 eggs, out of which 2 are matured, she never talked to me about the egg quality that time :-( . And during the embryo transfer, we were asked to come at 2.30, where as doctor came at 3.45. We were are all with bladder full and could not control :-(( and had to go to toilet and pass the urine half some 2-3 times till doctor arrived. Doctor told only 3 of the eggs have become good embryos and she is going to transfer all of them. After the embryo transfer, we need sleep facing roof with a rouch pillw below the waist and crossing your legs, the experience was horrible, in Gunasheela we have cot with elevator even for IUI. After 30mins or so, when you need to remove the pillow and make your leg straight it was very painful. After 14days, when my beta HCG report i need to collect along with meeting Dr Beena, i had to wait for more time even when my turn came, other people who came later were called, but not me, that time itself i told my husband that my result must be -ve :-( . This is how she treats patients. And finally we were called and she told it is -ve, anyway it was not surprising, and she told me that my eggs quality was bad, and i asked then why did she go ahead with IVF, what she told was, but the embryo was good , does it make sense???? In my view, if land to be cultivated is not good, then even if the seed is of good quality, it will be waste?! And during my first visit and when she suggested me IVF, she told in IVF she can select good quality eggs, when she knew that egg is of not good quality she should have atleast told us about the chances?! Forget about this, she again told, if i want to try for another IVF, she would suggest me to go for Donor eggs!!!! Means, she knew that mine will be -ve??? My tanent was married since 10yrs without a kid and i suggested her Gunasheela, now she has twins. Somehow I feel GUnasheela is good, she tried my case in all the way to make me conceive naturally, but i came out for some other reason. Anyway, now am done, i dont want to go to any doctor. But, in bangalore the doctors are there just to do business, we need to really find out a doctor who is professional + human being, then it makes sense. sxema2011 replied. She' s good with her treatment & procedures..but will try to extract as much as money from the patients & will try to send you to her clinic, they' re not very professional in their approach. She' s pretty much straight forward about the treatment options, but I' m not sure if Dr.Beena is the best for IVF in Bangalore.

When you meet them check about the over all IVF success rates. I did not look into such details, only did not want to go to any small clinics/hospitals so decided to do my treatment at Manipal, under Dr.Beena/Manju who' s her assistant she' s good too.
