Name: Lakshmipriya lokesh Hi,I have been a silent reader for the past 4 months.I am from Indian and right now in US.After I came to Us i got conceived and the ultrasound said that the sac is empty so i had to go for a D and C on Feb 9th 2006 and i had bleeding for around 10 days heavey for the first 1 week.The D and C sample sent for chromosome test said that it had only one X chromosome and did not have the other chromosome the doctor said u have a reason that u miscarried and this would not repeat again in the next pregancy and she also said we can try to conceive after the first cycle is over .I have never had my periods regular.Now i am taking centrum and folic acid.The doctor said i might get my periods from 3-6 weeks after d and c.I got my periods after 4 weeks on march 8th but it was avery light bleeding for 2 days 8th and 9th.Is this is my periods ???can we try to conceive after this ??I am confused plz help me what shd i do??is the period after a d and c always very light? plz archie and others help me

Dear Lakshmipriya,

Dont worry. The periods after D&C are usually light. And as your doctor has also told you that you can try again after this cycle, you can definitley go ahead. But if you are not very despearte for a baby, you can wait for another month or so to give your body and mind time to recover.

Hi Mita,Thank u for ur reply.Yeah we are a bit desperate for the baby as i was told the 3 months after miscarriage are the most fertile period.Also i have a plan to travel to India by june so we thought we ll not postpone our plan.Will it be ok if we try right after this cycle???Also i am using centrum and folic acid can i use this during periods time also??
