dear friends,
My daughter is 2 yrs and 7 months old . When my daughter was born we kept a nanny to make her bath. She used to massage her with oil and after massaging she used to expel the milk from the babies breast. I didnt know the purpose of doing so. About 1 month she used to do like this. But now i came to know from my mother-in -law that we shoudnt expel the milk from the baby girls. It seems that in future when they grows to a woman her breast will be small .Is it true? anybody please reply!

Hi Nidhi, I have a two week old daughter and when my daughter was born the doctor had done that twitching to my new born and after that on her first checkup other pediatrician who is our uncle too did the same to her. I dont think he expelled anything out of it but he did the checkup on her breast. I will suggest that you chjeck up with your doctor then assuming anything.
take it easy and check up with doctor first.
Sanju

hi nidhi
i dont think the practice will lead to any grave problem lor like the one u fear. i've seen many nannies who do it. but doctors advise us not to do this. infact, in today's time doctors tell us not use oil in the ears or kajal. however, people still do it. so i dont think u need to worry. its just a case of being extra cautious.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
