Can anyone share his/her experience of IVF/IUI in eastern india please.While many posts are available for the other four parts of india in this site ,this is not there at all. Aditya replied. had visited almost all clinics in Kolkata and finally landed up at GENOME. Whilst there is no head here, but teh fact that they are more of team of doctors with some of them specilising in Reproductive medicine makes the service so better compared to the individual docotr centric clinics. my wife is in my 1st trimester on the 2nd attempt with Genome. even with the 1st attempt failing, we felt comfortable in the way they explained why it failed and how to take it forward. Bhanu replied. Can anyone suggest a site where IVF is explained in a way...that attracts. Ny wife needs IVF but she is not willing at all due the hassle of injections & other scans. Eko X Ray, recommended by many is a horrible place.They make 8 women stand in same room,after lower undressing, in a single room, placing them on table one by one. Both doctor & X Ray operator are male & have the habit of touching your legs inappropriately. I sent a complaint to them also.

To my experience better places are Neotia Hospital at Rawdon Street & Quadra at Hazra. Quadra has a very good lady doctor. Same is true for Neotia.

I want to caution everyone about extremely money minded nature of Dr. Ranjit Chakrabarty sitting at WoodLands Hospital Kolkata & also in some other places. We went to him for 2 year continuously as wife failed to concieve, though everything was found to be OK(with other doctors) before going to him. For 2 yeras he made us visit asking for various repeat tests & giving various fertility medicines without checking a single time for falopian tubes.At last, while falopian tubes could have been checked with HSG test costing 1600/-, he wanted to check it by laproscopy(35000), where only outside can be seen. We checked with other doctors & they suggested HSG where actually the potency of the tubes can be checked. On HSG , it was found that both tubes are blocked. Bibhas replied. Went for IVF at Genome Calcutta. They are good only if you are very young & have no complication. If you have complication, avoid this place , as they do not give any attention & most of it(process) is handled by grumpy nurses & a grouchy receptionist.
Doctors are too occupied to talk to you.But, being part of a large business group, they have good marketing & patients are fooled into it.3 Doctors are very young...except Monam Gupta.. Doctors speak / share rarely specially if it fails. Doctors are very young--passed MBBS in 19994-96. Main defect is lack of attention. They treat patients as machin.Each one is extremely busy. Any one needing to do HSG can find it useful. Eko X Ray, recommended by many is a horrible place.They make 8 women stand in same room,after lower undressing, in a single room, placing them on table one by one. We are now going to do IVF in Calcutta.

Avoid Genome Kolkata

Went for IVF at Genome Calcutta. They are good only if you are very young & have no complication. If you have complication, avoid this place , as they do not give any attention & most of it(process) is handled by grumpy nurses & a grouchy receptionist.
Doctors are too occupied to talk to you.But, being part of a large business group, they have good marketing & patients are fooled into it.3 Doctors are very young...except Monam Gupta..

In Rourkella there is a good IVF doctor called Monu Pattanayak.

In Calcutta there are also Care IVF led by Rajiv Agarwal & IHR-Saltlake led by Baidyanath Chakrabarty & Dr. Ghoshdastidar´ s clinic at Gariahat area
