Sahil was on my milk exclusively and is now 5 and half months old. I am planning to start him on solids in two weeks, but I also want to start the process of weaning him. I am wondering what would be the right method -- do I first start him on formula for two weeks in some kind of a combination with breast milk (30:70 ratio) or should I do separate bottles pf formula and milk or should I start him on cereal first?
I am going up and down on this decision. Any suggestions?

If ur milk supply is still going on great, then u can start solids and just have solids and breastmilk..even if u start solids, 90% of the food intake is milk. breastmilk is easier to digest so would give that longer in his first year than formula.
But if u think his milk needs have increased and breastmilk is not enof...then i would say start formula , wait for 2 weeks see how he reacts to it, wait to check allergies, once formula brand is chosen suitable, then start solids...moreover if he hasn't fed from bottle , he will fuss with the change so have to get used to bottle too..
If changing to bottle, express /pump breastmilk and give him first, then formula in abottle..

Upto u to decide, since all babies are different but wait for some period when u introduce something new to ur baby or u can discuss it with ur doctor.
