Following is my Diet (Pure Vegetarian in Bangalore)

Early Morning between 4 to 5 AM : ShellCall (2x500 mg calcium supplement)
6-7 AM - Walk, breathing exercise
7.30 AM - Carrot + Beetroot juice
8.30 AM - Gulf Dates + Raisins + Kellogs WheatFlakes

10 AM - Orange
11 AM - Sometime soy milk
12.30 PM - IronSuppelement ( Globac-Z ) + MultiVitamin ( Astymin M-Forte) + Tropicana Orange Juice ( 200 ml pack)

1.15-1.30 PM : Lunch : 3 Roti, One green Ve + Toor Dall + ButterMilk(Amul or Nandini pack of 200 ml)

3 PM : Fruit

4 PM : Dry Fruit mix

6 PM : Britannia Cream Crackers( very good choic for Morning sickness also)

8 PM : Dinner ( Roti + Subzi)
Just couple of days back started having Mother Horlicks( sometime I add Saffron in that itself)
Before Sleep : Folvite tablet

I would strongly recommend everyone to have Mother Horlicks. As it is the only stuff to have DHA(One type of Omega-3 fatty acid must for brain development) made from Algae by MARTEK LIFESCIENCES(USA). There are lots of discussion in which People take most popular PreNatal in US(Stuartcal or Citracal). All these contain the same DHA

Take care

hi everyone!
megs-all i can say to u is that ur diet plan is very very ideal!

i still have nausea on some days..so i have not yet formed a regular diet plan. but roughly its somewhat like-

morning 8.15(after getting up)-3 soaked almomds

9 am- 2/3 parathas with half cup tea

10 am- 1 glass milk with horlicks

11.30 am-1 banana

12.30- lunch- 3 rotis with sabji n dal

2.30 pm- 1 orange

4 pm- 1 apple

6 pm- 1 boiled egg or a couple of bread slices

6.30- half cup tea

8.45 pm- dinner- 2 rotis with sabji n dal n rice sometimes n curd

i will definitely make some changes and try to include soups n veg juices from now on...but mostly i dont feel hungry after eating all this and also drinking water in between..so have no clue as to where i shud include more things! ofcourse, some days that i feel nausea, i am not able to eat this much...

thanks all of u all for sharing..now lets see if i' m able to pick up ur ideas too..

take care
rakhi

Subject:  my diet!! (bizzare)

well.... i don' t really have a diet plan... but i try to eat at the same times... so i' ll try to fit it here... right now.. i am almost in my 18th week... and i get hungry.... and i was also overweight before... i i have to take care.. but believe me... at this stage.. when u' re hungry... i just grab stuff....
anyway.. here goes..

8:30 AM 1 bowl fruit, 1 cup milk, 3 almonds soaked overnight.

9:30 AM walk for half an hour

10:30AM breakfast- anything
poha/ uppama/ pancakes/ cornflakes/ sandwich

12:30PM lunch- either 2 rotis and sabzi/ pasta/ khichadi with sabzi/ steamed veggies stirfried with rice.

2:30PM 1 banana

4:30 PM 2 slices of rusk

6:30 1 apple

8:00 dinner 2 roti, sabzi and sometimes dal

9:00 walk for half an hour

10:00 a cup of milk sometimes.. if i am hungry
and a fig soaked in water since morning (i found it works better if i eat it the night before)

and frankly... my diet keeps changing apart from the 3 main meals..... i eat whatever i feel like at 2 hours... if i buy more fruits.. i eat more fruits... sometimes i don' t feel like eating fruits... sometimes if i have rotis leftover.. i make roti rolls.. so it' s quite dynamic... hope it becomes more healthy... though... i am trying not to eat fried and sweet things... i am walking twice daily for 1/2 hrs... and i am doing prenatal yoga...i am still gaining weight!! i guess it' s natural!
so i am just aiming at being fit!

anyway! ramya! don' t worry too much abt weight.. you will initially gain suddenly when your appetite returns.. but it' ll level off later.... i say that.. because when i started gaining like 2-3 kgs together.. i was a bit depressed.... kind of wished i could control the weight gain.. but my midwife said it' s natural.. you can' t so much.. except be fit!

byeee..
and love
ira

hello sue,
My diet plan is still okei, want to include many more stuffs, lets c where I can put them..

In the fresh veggie juice I make I dont include any fruits, coz I eat fruits.I
prefer it that way,n moreover in the veggie juice I make I include veggies, what I normally dont use in daily cooking ,but which is gud for health if U eat it raw.Ther4 I make juice out of it..
Lemme give u the recipe anyways-
Tomato-1
betroot-1
Bottle gourd (with skin)-Half
Carrot-1
pudina leaves -handful
sugar-4tsp(ya lil more)
salt -1/2 spoon
chatmasala-lil
lemon-1/2
1.take the skin out 4m beetroot n carrot, chop them, put it in mixie along with chopped tomato, bottlegourd, pudina leaves, sugar, salt, lil water grind it smooth. Then sieve it.

2.again put the remaining veggie pulp into mixie add lil more water n sieve it,if u want u can repeat the process once more.
ur juice is ready. While serving add half a lemon n chat masala(yes whole half,as
the taste wud be lil sour ,salty n sweet)Its yummy..

With this propotion I make 3 cups of juice..
Hope this recipe helps u...
lotsa luv.

hi girls good diet routines- keep it going!
reading all your routines makes me feel bad since i still have not been able to formulate a diet plan for myself . I go to work and i leave home quite early. It is not easy to follow a fixed plan... also i stay with my in laws so its not like i cook whatever i like or i get the kind of food i want to eat ...so i just keep praying to god to take care of my baby for me and hope everything will be alright...
p.s- i dont drink a glass of milk a day - its once in 3 days etc , how bad is that ( i am in my 4th month now)

hello abc
Fikar nto God will take care of ur baby, but before that u shd take care of
urself.Eat whatever u like.n thisz the time,when u feel hungry the most.So u shdnt curb urself.

N regarding milk-It is a good source of protein, calcium , and vits.If you can
tolerate milk, then u must have atleast 2 glasses a day in any form, milk as it is, or yogurt or lassi, milkshakes, kheer or whatever. But u shd drink milk daily..We take tablets i.e vitamin supplements, but nothing to replace the the natural product. So u shd drink milk.

anyways take care n do drink milk.

Hi All,

Good that we all started sharing our diet plan...
well Meganah' s diet is ideal diet :-) it is too tempting and I feel like following it to the T...but as of now I am not so hungry...so I am just eating according to my hunger...
I liked daisy' s diet plan...actually I am 3-4 kgs over weight..and I have a tendency to put on weight very easily...so I felt daisy' s diet plan is ideal for my case...
I will write down my plan..now a days I started eating breakfast at home...

6AM - Ya I get up very early..I have to reach office by 8.30AM...I eat 5 almonds, 1 fig soaked in water...

6.30AM - 1 slice bread toasted + 1 big cup milk with horlicks + 1 apple or banana (I am trying to eat one chapati instead of bread...lets see if I can do that)

6.45AM - 20mins walking

9AM - 1 glass lassi..or 1 boiled egg (alternate days)

12PM - 3-4 phulkas, lot of sabji & dal, rasam or sambar and curd

3.30PM - few almonds or dates (if I feel very hungry then lassi again)

5.30PM - 20mins walking again

7.30PM - Dinner with rice, dal and curry

9PM - Some fruits either grapes, oranges or kiwi or strawberry

9.15PM - walking for 45mins

10PM - One small glass of kesar milk (planning to add this...I have to start from today) + 1 folic acid tablet

Through out the day I drink atleast 3-3.5 lts of water...

Till now I did not feel hungry in the night...may be as weeks pass by I may feel hungry...

Till now I did not put on extra weight...but as I am over weight this may not be a concern...
ok girls thats all from me

take care and keep writing
bye
ramya
