Name: RK Hi Archie,

As u know my LMP was on 28th.Then I was on clomid and other harmone pills.My gynec asked me to go for a sonography on CD13th day and found that the follicle was 28ml.Then she gave me hcg 5000 injection and asked me to ttc for 3days CD13 to CD15 and then I went for a scan after 48hrs and the size remained the same and ovary did not rupture.Today she called me for a scan again and found that the follicle was 30mg.She said it was a cyst and the follicle did not rupture.Cld u plz explain what this means and will this continue next time when we ttc.

this means you did not ovulate. you may have to continue trying and hoping for the best or try in next cycle.

Hi,

I have experienced the same issue and i am crossing my fingers hoping that the same has not happened last week :( ...

Anyway, this is what i understood, the cyst is formed when the follicle does not rupture to give the egg. The problem is clomid can cause this is some cases , clomid does cause cyst.
However i am guessing your doctor will not come to conclusion in one cycle and will try this once more since it need not happen everytime.

However if the cyst stil persists in the begining of the next cycle, then that is bad because this cyst will keep releasing hormones which will hamper the production of another egg (this happened to me and i took a break for two cycles from clomid and everything and things have returned to normalcy again) ...

Anyway do not get depressed, i am sure there will be positive news for you sooon :)
