Name: Anu How much formula is your baby taking? My son is taking only 2 to 3 oz and after that he starts to play. We can make him drink hardly 1/2 Oz more by diverting him. How about your babies ? How are you girls managing ? This makes me little worried. Do share about your babies.

hi moms...try giving milk to your little ones when they are half-asleep...this way they don't get distracted and will drink more. Just a tip...it might help ;)

I am in same boat too!!!!

hi,
I am just a causual reader of the board but your message relieved me of a major tension. I daughter also doesnot drink much and now she is supposed to eat solids but she doesnot like that either. I was so worreid today that I was almost in tears. I was telling my husband that I feel like I am the only mother facing this problem.I hate to ask my mom for advice all the time or she gets tension. Your message made me feel nice again.

Hi Anu,

I was just thinking of posting the same question yesterday....Kaustubh is 5 mths old now and still cant make him drink more than 3 oz at a time....
thats y started with cereals and sauces...thinking atleast he will eat that....he was fine for 2 weeks ....I think he liked that different taste....but now he does not even open his mouth for cereals...he tightly closes his mouth, and if i force the spoon inside his mouth he starts crying...
I really dont know what to do....all these days I was struggling for him to drink milk ...now he is doing the same thing with solids too....if somebody knows what to do ....pls let me know....

Hey

I have read in many baby books that as babies get playful&curious they start losing interest in feeding.My best advice is trying following a ritual for feeds same place,same time daily.Try feeding in a quite place&also let baby feed at longer intervals so he is really hungry.
Also remember most babies r fussy eaters as moms we have to learn to just be more patient¬ give up.My nephew is a chubby health guy but gosh my mom used to spend soo much time cajoling him & playing with him on some days.Don't worry soon they will fall into a schedule.
