Due Date Club July 2005:Atul's 1 year update

Hello everyone!
Belated happy birthday to all july babies...i was not able to visit the board as my office work was keeping me occupied full-time :-(
Atul had his first year doc visit last weekend...he weighed 20.8 lbs and his ped was extremely happy with his progress. She had to be as his journey from a 3 lbs baby to 20 lbs was not an easy one. All credit goes to my MIL who has been staying with us for a year now to take care of Atul when I go to work. I really owe a lot to her. She doesn't even want to go to attend any family function in her hometown bcoz she feels that Atul's routine will be disturbed in her absence. He is also very much attached to her :-)
Atul now eats whatever we cook for the family....except that he does not like milk. But i try to compensate in other forms like curd, yoghurt, cheese etc...which he loves.

Hetal, congrats on your new development !! and Priya ..Good luck !!

love
kavitha

Hi Kavitha,

I can underdstand and know that how painful to be occupied in office sometime when you really want to give time to your loved ones.

My MIL/FIL is also playing the same role for me and I prodly accept that without them it would have been impossible to persue my carreer and baby both. My MIL is the one who stayed always with Advait as of now, infact for a change I wanted to send her to hometown with Papa and exploring all possibility of working from home, takeing leave etc..

Sometimes feel I am selfish to keep MIL away from her routes and keeping her busy even in this age.

Regards,
Sudha

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
