Hi everyone,I have conceived after six years and iam in my 12th week now..in my first ultrasound the practioner said that they have seen some fluid in my cervix.. did any one have the same condition and i am worried bcos it may be a symptom of early labor..

This is my first and i dont want anything to happen..If anyone knows anything about this can u please share

The doctor said that my amniotic fluid is good and the baby is also growing great with good heart beat...

iam worried about this fluid in cervix..Hope some one can help me with some insight

nothing to worry... minimal fluid in cervix is okk... as far as the cervical canal is not open it is fine. some fluid in cervix is usually mucous... good for the cervix and baby...i hope the sonologist meant that... else they would have told you to go on strict bed rest and some cervical stitches.. if they din tell you that and said it s ok means it is nothing to worry about.

make sure the internal os of the cervix is closed ...

Hi Jes,
Thanks for the reply and it was really comforting.. The sonologist said that she saw like 3.7 ml or something of fluid in my cervix and said it is no reason of concern...they said if it is a amniotic leak then i may dilate and go to preterm labor..I have an appointment with the doc on april 17th and iam keeping my fingers crossed till then..
