Hello Future Mommies :)

First: Congratulations on have a bundle of joy very soon.

I have a 13mos. daughter and I posted a post titled ' TIPS/ SUGGESTIONS FOR USA MOMS' earlier this year in other pregnancy board.

If you are going to have a baby in cold area where you will have a heating on to keep warm then I STRONGLY suggest that you buy a HUMIDIFIER for the baby' s room. Heating dries the air and it makes hard for baby to breath and humidifier adds moisture in the air making it easier to breath. You can find humidifier at any stores or you can google it online and find the store nearest you.

I am telling you with experience...my daughter would not nurse because she was having breathing prob. due to the heater and finally she got better once we started using the humidifier.

If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks & lots of luv @ babies :)
Aisha

Hi Aisha,

that was a useful post. Can I also ask you if you can send me some baby items that my mom can bring from India when she comes here during my delivery. I am trying to make a list of those items which are better available in India.
I am due in Feb 08 and my mom would be coming in last week of Jan

My son also had the same problem his legs used to shiver my doc said it is due to calcium defieciency b.coz I was calcium deficient. She gave him a tonic for 2 mnths it cured after that. The reason why ur baby' s leg is shivering may be this. Plz contact ur doc and take necessary steps as soon as possible.... - Sahila Gupta [View Message]

Not to worry
If you want a normal delivery, ask your doc first to try vaginal delivery if not then go for forceps delivery where baby can taken out with the help of tongs...
