Hi Friends,

I am new here. I am married for 9 months and am here with my husband in Columbus.

I am trying to conceive. I knew exactly when I ovulated this month(JAN), and we made love at the same time also, but today I got my periods. I am really upset. Due to certain committments in the future, I have to get pregnant by February. I am healthy and get regular periods, I have been also taking prenatal vitamins for a month and a half.
Tears came in my eyes when I came to know that I am not pregnant.
Can anybody advice me on conception or the care to be taken when trying to get pregnant?
I would sincerely appreciate any concerns from u friends.

I was smiling while reading your post. Because like you I also used to think, we can get pregnant on will. But it hardly happenes. Specially in first try.
The best thing to do while ttc is relaxing and not worry about \";will i get pregnant this month\";.
I am 9 weeks pregnant and to tell you the truth i got pregnant when I was least expecting. We were trying for the baby last year. Got OPKs, charted BBTs, and read whatever I could. Took prenants and what not. But nothing happened even after 8 months. Then we had to go to India and when we came back my husband had to change jobs and in between we got busy buying a new house and seting it up. Amidst all those things, we put pregnancy on back seat. And only for 3 months we were busy in other things in life that I got to know I am pregnant.
So please don't think about it, don't \";plan\"; it..go with the flow..just make sure you know when you are ovulating and enjoy the love making..and forget about it. I am telling you, relaxing your mind body and heart is the only way to get pregnant. Worrying and setting up deadlines to get pregnant is not the right way.
I amy sound strange now, but try this and i am sure soon you will be posting about your good news.
