Hi Girls,

Yesterday I tried to give formula for Sidhardh for the first time. Formula I started was Enfamil. That was given by my doc. My son didnot like that at all. Finally when my husband fed him, he took only few Oz. So, I tasted the milk powder and that taste seems to be horrible. I am feeling bad to give that to him. Till now Sid is only on breast milk. Did any once face this ? What Formula are you girls using for your babies ? I am worried as my milk may decrease and he need to have some suppliment. I was also not giving him any vitamins because whenever I tried to give him multi vitals, he poops a lot. Girls, I need your advice. Please respond ASAP

My Doc didnot giv evitamins for baby at the first time. When I asked If I can give vitamins, he said yes. Nothing wrong to give. He also mentioned, them more I give formula to the baby the less I need to give vitamins.

i give my son similac advance with iron but hv also tried enfamil with him few times and he is okay with both. about the horrible taste of formula, i know (even i hv tasted it), all formulas r the same, it tastes very very bad (for us) but babies like it. I think ur son didnt take it is because he was on breastmilk all this time and so he will take time to get used to formula (same like babies take time to get used to solid food). but its not because of the formula taste. keep on trying and very soon i am sure he will take it. it might also be possible that he didnt like the bottle (or bottle nipple) if u hv never introduced bottle to him before. just give him some time to adjust.
U hv written abt giving vitamins to him, what r these? I never give any vitamins to my baby. my pediatrician never told me abt it. pls tell me what r these?

Enfamil is a real problem free and good supplement,probabaly Sidhard just has to like it bcos he was only on breast milk so far.Don't worry be patient&introduce like 2-3 oz/day.I also use Enfamil lipil to supplement.
Try the enfamil when Sid is really hungry/or when he has to fall asleep as last feed before putting him to bed.
Abt multivitamins all breastfed babies require Vit A&D bcos these r i =nsufficient in breast milk so he has to have thm.His pooping extra may not be related to the vitamins,but don't stop giving him.Having a few loose stools is ok but don;t miss out on the vitamins esp bcos here our babies hardly see the sun(vit D FORMED WHEN WE R EXPOSED TO SUN)
