Hi All,

I dont know how to thank Dr. Asraf or Dr. Sankalp Singh for their effort.When i almost lost hope of giving birth to a child and become a mother, they came as God' s messenger to me. I came to know about them from my cousin sister who contacted Dr Asraf in Dubai and got blessed with Twin daugher some 6 yrs back. Since then, Kerala Craft hospital is like a blessing to our family. Not only me, my another cousin sister-in-law is now 8 months pregnant after taking the treatment from Craft.

My first exp might sound a bit weird as i was told to reduce weight and take the herbal medicines which are bitter as hell. But slowly me and my husband understood the significance of it and just went through the process. We just did what doctors in craft told us to do.
As my case was very difficult and after some 6yrs of treatment and medicines,i was exhausted to take the treatment. But the step by step methods used in Craft somehow gave a confidence in me to finish the treatment and see the result and i am so glad that i went through it. It was my 2nd attempt of ICSI (but first time in Craft) and i now wonder why didnt i go to Craft the very first time itself.

My native is Odisha and it was very difficult for me and my husband to communicate in Malayalam, but it was pretty easy for us as they understood our issues and took utmost care to resolve it ASAP. Apart from regular visits ,I stayed in Craft hospital for 3 times all for more than 3-4weeks and the experience is very good. Be it the cleaning staff or the routine doctor' s visit to the room,be it the drinking water or the pharmacy,everything was so smooth. The nurses are very supportive and they will attend you anytime of the day or night if need be.

I cannot forget Dr Asraf' s effort when the embryo transfer was going on.It was quite a tricky task and it took a good 40mins but he did it very patiently.Really God has bestowed him the magic to give couples their own babies.

Let me not forget to mention one thing here. I stay in bangalore ,so when ICSI result came positive, i came back home. After that whenever i mailed my issues to Dr Sankalp or Craft ,they have promptly replied me within 24hrs. I dont know how to thank the entire craft family for making me a mother :)

Now my daughter is 6months old and i am sure going to take her to craft to meet the doctors/staff/place who did so much for her.I along with my family are indebted to Craft till our last breath.Everytime i see my daughter' s face I thank God and Craft for making this possible for me.

After seeing my case,many people have taken my reference and gone to craft for treatment.

My mom and mom in law rightfully say sometimes that \" Craft hospital is indeed the second temple for our family\" . Three cases and all positive. Hats off to the people who could do this wonder.

iswarya fertility centre/ gk hospital /leela clini

better try iswarya fertility centre in coimbatore or chennai. or try to go to gk hospital or leela clinic. i got conceived in iswarya hospital. really they are good, both in money wise and treatment wise.i cannot forget my experience in that hospital.i heard they have a great history in success rate in ivf for the past 20 years..the Dr.chandralekha is a famous one in tamil nadu.

Hello Anny,Painyâ€¦. I am really sorry that you had bad experience in CRAFT. Actually one of our patient from Malaysia mailed me regarding your letter. So I have registered in this site to just say sorry for all the grievances you had experienced in CRAFT.
All the comments you have made in your letter had been looked into and I will see to that all staff concerned to the respective department should behave as professionals and care for the patients.
Let me tell you few things about the Herbal medicine. It is prescribed only to the patients with very poor ant follicular count and poor ovarian reserve. There is no medicine available to improve this condition in modern medicine. Usually all other centers advice for a donor egg for these patient or they will recruit for IVF programme and last minute they will advice a donor or give you a failed result. But in CRAFT we are not doing DONOR IVF programme and we believe that every couple have certain percentage of chance (even if it is 10%) in getting their own babies. And we also believe in sanctity of the wedlock. So we had extensive search for a solution to help this patients in alternative medicine (including acupuncture and Chinese medicine) for improving this condition. We found herbal medicine to be effective. We donâ€™t claim that it is effective in all patient but I can give at least 25 references of patient who had donor-ivf failed in other centers have their own babies form CRAFT. Please do contact me through our website. We donâ€™t insist to take Herbal medicine to our patients. Its your personal coice to buy .It is not a CRAFT product and the original company is selling it directly.If you are not happy with it donâ€™t take it and do only life style modification and weight reduction through other methods.
I totally deny your other allegation that we are only money minded. I can give you very good proof for that.
1) If we wanted only money then we would have started DONOR-IVF programme and easily I can increase the revenue 4 times. I will tell you most of the IVF centers survive through egg sharing and embryo sharing and DONOR- IVF. Itâ€™s a BIG NO from CRAFT even if a couple wanted donor programme. We actually council them for adoption rather than getting somebody else baby after expensive treatment.
2) If we wanted only money then we could have used the cheap Indian hormones for stimulation where the pharma company gives 100% offer (1 vial free for 1 vial). There are so many hidden ways of making money in IVF treatment. The consumables used in IVF treatment are expensive and there are cheap imitations also available. If we use that we can also do the IVF in very cheap rate. But that will reduce our result , I can guarantee you that all the machineries ,equipments and drugs used for IVF treatment in CRAFT are best in the world and more than 90% is sourced from various part of the world. I can give you proof if you want to.
3) CRAFT is the only centre with not even one person appointed for marketing. Our marketing people are our patients only. Still we do the Maximum Non donor IVF programme in India. We do more than 1000 cycles every year way ahead of our competitors. We have the highest success rate too. This is possible only through the standardization and expertise. I have the numbers for the last 5 years and you can have a look. This is not self claimed as you said.
4) Dr. Ashraf have license to practice in 5 countries . He earn much more in oversees than in India. If he wanted only money he would have continued practicing there and managed here with the team of 15 gynecologists at CRAFT. I donâ€™t think any other IVF center have this many doctors in one department. He is one person who keeps the value of human life and human relationship .He started his practice in this small town and he want to maintain the love and affection the people have shown to him. He owes all his successes to his people back at home. CRAFT is giving job to more than 200 people directly and many more indirectly.
5) CRAFT is designed to cater all types of patients including rich and poor. So cost effectiveness is maintained by cutting down unnecessary expenses. We can easily appoint few good looking staff in the marketing department and extract money by charging hidden charges. You can make out that our charges are transparent and will be informed during the counseling time it self. We also do so many IVF free of cost or in reduced price for deserving and needy couples. This is only possible by cost cutting exercise.
6) We give utmost importance to cleanliness and patient care. We donâ€™t care about the expenses met in the critical areas. CRAFT won the cleanest hospital for 2010 from Pollution control Board, Govt of Kerala. You can check in their website. We donâ€™t believe in frills. Otherwise we could have given you a attractive bill > the bill which you have commented was made from recycled paper.
7) CRAFT provide hot water in the room. Specifically saying we cater all patients including poor to celebrities. We have rooms with cooking facilities too. We also have attached rooms for 350 Rs (including Nursing charges,Doctos fees and utilities). Can you name any other Hospital with this kind of rent? I donâ€™t know which type of room you stayed. But we definitely have rooms with heater, Fridge, Washing machine ect.
8) We can easily appoint few better looking customer care staff in the front office charge some more money from our poor patients. Our Objective for CRAFT is to give best possible treatment at an affordable costâ€¦.. Our claims are always what we have. I know certain centers claim 70-80% which is not possible by IVF. I will tell you a small storyâ€¦ once there was an enquiry team came to CRAFT from health ministry. Few doctors (our competitors) given a complaint that they cannot believe our results and it is not possible. We had all the proof and result in our records with patient contact number. After the enquiry they have officially reported our claims are true.

Once again I am extremely sorry for your bad experience at CRAFT. I will see to that action will be taken to the irresponsible staff who behaved to you in unprofessional way. A lot of hard work
Over 12 years have made CRAFT to the present position. I still feels that our best supporters are our own patients only. Without them we would not have grown. what Anny told is true, such a worst place they say it is ISO9000, looks like they gave money to get it. I would like to know which process they got ISO9000 certification as i cannot see any standards maintained there.

They treat people without respect, dr´ s and nurses are very very arrogant. I don´ t believe the reply send from craft, it is all made up and does not answer to the comments raised by Anny.

I had done ivf treatment in 3 other places and i felt this looks like a clear money making institution with no feeling towards the patients. I had done all the blood tests and other investigations in other places and still he asked me to do all the investigations. The last investigation was done just 3 months.

I was shocked to see people sharing the same towel for ultra sound scanning with blood spots on it. Most girls do scan on the 2nd day of the period so obviously it will bleed a lot, but as a health clinic basic rule of cross contamination of blood is not followed. In the name of HLT they make lots of money , the HLT has never been proven.

As Anny pointed out the nurses are so careless sometimes i feel they will inject me with used needles. Basic hygiene is not followed, which will result in HIV infection for both staff and patients.

what Painy pointed out about the stupid herbal medicine is correct. I asked dr what are they for then he gave me a number and asked me to ask this person. I was shocked as the dr who gave me does not know what it is for. when i called Purushotham he told the medicine is for fever, could, cold and rheumatoid. I ate the stuff for 2 months then dr says continue for another few months, but when i asked the Purushotham he told take only for 2 months. It contradicts each other.

Once you go there you will know all the hype is just not real. Even dr ashraf keeps coming out of operation theater with all mask and operation dress then sits for consultation for few hours then goes and does some procedure. It seems even Dr Ashraf don´ t understand why special suit is worn inside the operation theater, to avoid germs from outside. I sometimes think all these degrees he made is for nothing if his hospital cannot maintain basic hygiene.

what a joke the bill from recycled paper, why don´ t you use toilet paper it is better than what you give. You cannot give this bill to any insurance for claims they will laugh at it. A small clinic will have proper bill.

Room i used was 500 per day and was clean and ok but you need to carry hot water from another place in a bucket and it comes at specific time only.

Also they charge a lot for using credit card, only cash so that no taxes for him.

You don´ t need good looking front office staff but at least they should be able to speak proper english through phone.

Good luck to those who go there..they are brave.

i have very bad experience in craft. they don' t have proper hygiene. The nurses don' t use any gloves when handling the blood and they don' t mark the name of the patients properly on the sample.

The main dr is available only 15 days in a month. They are very very money oriented. They will give you unwanted aurvedic medicine for all of them and they makes these medicines themselves.

I had done all my investigation procedures at other places and still they wanted to do it again just for the money. They even don' t hold records of the procedure properly. It seems all the dr don' t know what the others have done. They don' t keep print out reports.

If you see the receipts they give it looks like the one in grocery shop. It is a third class facility.

after ivf procedure they ask people to share beds with others. The accomodation does not have even hot water facility. I went there without much investigation after seeing there website. never ever will recommend anyone there.

We are blessed with a baby girl on 2nd of November 2012, at Columbiasia Hospital Bangalore. She is worth all the wait, pain and process. She is a bundle of joy to our entire family, only because of you.This all happened with your help , when we lost hope that we can never have our own baby. We would like to thank you both, as you changed our life with your guidance and support.

It all began when we got your reference from a relative and met Dr Ashraf in mid of 2010. we were very much impressed seeing the approach. After listening to our case, he smiled and said ´ It´ s difficult, but not impossible´ . This is where craft stands apart from the other infertility clinics. This was a difficult case and Dr. Ashraf made sure that he is available during egg collection and embryo transfer.

The next man we met is Dr Sankalp. Initially we were confused why Dr. Ashraf is asking to meet some one else, when we specifically mentioned that we want you to check our case. But later realized, he handed us over to a person who is very good as a doctor, a guide, a friend who helped us throughout. Dr Sankalp, I must say, you were there whenever we needed your support. I must say, there was never an occasion when I sent a mail and you did not respond. We thank god that our case was handled by you. We have so much of trust in you, that we blindly followed your instructions and here it is, we got our reward. It definitely took long time, as we had to go for multiple laparoscopic operations to ensure that things are in place. As they rightly say ´ there is light at the end of tunnel´ , we finally got success. It didn´ t stop when my wife conceived, Dr. Sankalp was with us till the delivery.

We also would like to thank Dr Swati singh and Dr. Krishnaleela who were there to support my wife emotionally. I have seen 3 to 4 infertility clinics, and would like to mention, we never saw such people, whom you can trust as a family member, be open to them and get to listen words that boosts your morale and faith. This was a second attempt and my wife needed it very badly...

I should not forget Craft staff. Let it be the nurses, pharmacy, cleaning staff or reception, they helped us a lot. Initially struggled a bit as we didn´ t know Malayalam, but i realized language will never be a barrier when people at both end are really willing to communicate and help.

We got so much involved, that we still feel we are part of the craft family and will always be. We would come there with our new born and meet you as soon as possible.

I hope Craft expands and open branches across India. Many people can be benefited!!

Every thing/process has scope for improvement and craft also has and I am happy that they are trying. People commenting here might not have seen the worst ones that I saw in Bangalore!!!

IVF Craft

Craft is a good choice, and Dr.Ashraf will be available every month after 14th. Till 14th He is consulting in Middle East.
The hospital is with all the facility and posess very good supporting staff.
Only the issue is, there is a team of doctors consult you, so we cannot stick with one doctor, if today one doctor consult, next day it may be other.
After all, the treatment procedure is same, so it doesnt matter that is what I felt.

Dr. Ashraf in Craft hospital is good, but make sure he will be available for your treatment, bcoz he is often travelling to Middle East as he is practising there too.
