Waiting to try:How do I know if we are ready?

Name: Dipali I am 28 years old and we have been married for 3 years now. We have planning for a baby since last couple of months, but we think we are not really ready. We have started reading so many parenting books and I have started all vitamins and folic acid. We are also financially ready, since both of us are working. But, still when it comes to try we are bit scared and confused to get pregnant. Can anyone help me?

Hi there

I too felt like you not so long ago. I bought this pregnancy book, read it and thought no way can't do this right now!
I didn't feel ready, i also was/am quite happy with just me and my hubby. life is simple and easy i thought.
But i'll be 29 this year and so thought long and hard about it being time to start on a baby (as you don't always conceive when you want to). Anyway since i've started thinking about it, i re read the pregnancy book and surprise this time i didn't feel eek! instead i'm highly excityed about the thought of starting on a baby. baby clothes make me go all dreamy and i find all the babies in the streets oh so cute!
and am not afraid of the responsibilities anymore, so i guess (i know) am now ready for it. hope this helps.

Hi,
I too am 27 and trying but sometimes I too feel scared and tensed thinking abt how life would be with a kid. But dont let that stop u. Even after 5 yrs u will be scared. So theres no end to it. 28 is the right time to have a baby, dont delay it any more. All the best.

Becoming a mother !

Becoming a parent is a life long commitment, which will require all your strength, focus and energy. As you are financially ready at present, do not let your nervousness stop you from becoming a mother.
Even though it is exhausting, it will become the most rewarding experience in your life time.
