hope u n ur family r doing gr8.. we r fine..one of my relative is pregnant thru IVF and shes 37 yrs old..shes 60 days pregnant. looks like she has a fibroid, which the doctor says as the fibroid becomes big, it might affect the baby hence asked her to take a medicine which might abort the baby,so that she cud remove the fibroid!!! shes really upset abt this...i dont know whether i made the query clear! waiting for ur valuable suggestions...

how is Nakul?
Fibroid to treat or wait will be choice made based on it's size. I have witnessed girls who carried pregnancies with small size fibroids and they did grow as pregnancy progressed but besides more discomfort in third trimester they had nothing much to complain.

I think your relative needs a second opinion. It does not matter whether it was a natural conception or IVF, for me life is life and without full proof analysis it's almost unfair to abort baby.

Is this the same Dr. who did IVF, then wasn't the fibroids noticed before process? If there were no fibroids prior to process then most likely your relative has small size ones and one can't say they won't grow but she may be able to carry this pregnancy and deliver baby if taken care by an expert Dr. Try to persuade her to have two more opinions from different expert OB.
