Hi girls,
Hope u all r enjoying ur lil ones..
I am from the Feb '04 dd club.My dd is in 5 days.Doc. says my pelvis size is sligtly on the smaller side and that baby size is relatively large. So at this point a vaginal delivery although not completely ruled out may be a little challenging is what he feels.I want to feel at least a lil prepared to what it feels like after a c-sec. Can someone please guide me..How is the recovery and how long it takes? Is it hard to breast-feed after a c-sec?In general what all can i expect ?Thks in advance...

Hi Smiley
You still havent told me how u know me.
Anyways... I had both normal and csec.
Still I didnt have a problem.
I didnt breastfeed the same day coz I delivered at 10:50pm and 11:25pm.
I had staples, removed after a week. Just a thin line mark I have now. It was not painful as we expect.
Dont worry things will take place without us having to worry or think too much. All the Best

C-section recovery does not take long..u can start moving around just like normal delivery person will..all u have to do is not stretch the part where stitiches are. Walking, feeding, (Even cooking for sometime light work) is fine.
C-section time varies anwhere from 30-60 mins...depends on the doc. i cannot even see the stitch its so fine..and haven't had any difficulty, but yes since my mother in law was here i didn't do anything much the first month besides feeding and playing with the baby.
if stitiches are staples, they are removed a little later than normal stitiches..all not painful for me, was relatively easy process in fact.
I did breast feed first day itself.
just don't stretch ur body too much the first 2 weeks...all those instructions ur doctor and nurse will be giving in detail...i had no clue i would have a c-secion but hospital folks were very nice and helpful..so everything was fine..just relax ask ur husband to be ready to wear the hospital mask etc..and have fun..enjoy ur baby later..happy delivery!! (its not as difficult as they say it is..all in ur mind, if u think its difficult it is) PRay to God and have fun.

hi smiley

well i also had a c section, the problems are almost equivalent as of in a normal delivery. well yes for the first two days it was difficult getting up and feeding but then things start becoming ok, it is just that u need to take a lot of care afterwards as not bending etc etc
