Hi All,
I am posting here for the first time. Even I had my baby in the month of November. It was a csec. Then I had my two periods after that. Now my periods are long overdue. Am I pregnant by any chance. I am really scared.Or is it normal to have irregular periods when you are breastfeeding. Please let me know

Hi Shruti,

Welcome to the board and a Hearty Congratulations for your November baby. What is his/her name?

According to my doctor, if you are exclusively breastfeeding, you can have irregular periods until six months. If it extends beyond that, then you have to talk to your doctor. I've had my periods thrice last month. According to the doctors here, everything is 'normal'. I haven't quite figured out what 'abnormal' means to them:)

Like Avi said, do go for the test as motherly instincts sometimes come true. Good luck & do let us know how it goes. Any news is good news :)

Have taken an appointment with my doc tomorrow. Hopefully everything is fine.BTW my nov baby is a girl and her name is Nikita.How about you guys??

Hey Shruti, I am not sure if its normal to have irregular periods while bf'ing..
hope someone else has some info on this..

but if u think you could be pregnant, do get a HPT..
