Dear friends,

I started visiting this board since last 2 months and I want to tell all of you -> you girls rock!! Archie, you are such a helping person, thanks for being there.

Well, something about me - I got married in Feb, 2003, after marriage came to US. Started ttc since last \";one\"; year, without luck. I went to a gyne last year but she told me as I have normal cycle and it has not been even an year trying, I donot have any problem and I should continue to try. She did some exam - I think it is called pelvic exam - and sent a report saying I donot have cancer. Well, I went to her for prepregnancy checkup!

After reading a lot on message board, friends and books, I started charting my BBT. Also, my cycles are 28 - 30 days long with normal bleeding, so never thought I have any problem. I saw shift in temps, also started checking CM. Well, initialy it was difficult to know - but from last two months - started drinking green tea, lots of water, baby carrots and grape fruit juice, this month is for the first time, I saw good quantity cervical mucous. This cycle is my last hope - if nothing hapens - I will visit the doc again. I am in Austin now, earlier was in California. I just wanted to get some moral support, as my husband doesnot want to go to the doc. As far as I am concerned, I can see all fertility signs like normal period cycle, BBT, CM, OPK. I donot know where the problem lies - I have tried no stress life - i am not working, I do yoga, walks etc. Nothing seems to click it! I feel very sad...

Some people say as we, me and hubby, have been under pressure, as he is on H1B visa - we are not able to conceive - is it true ? Can stress play such a huge part ? or is there something wrong with me ? or him ? donno......

I have even asked few astrologers, they say this is the year - may be next month or so - should I listen to them - or after this month - my periods are due on 24th Jan - go to the gyne for checkup ?

I also need one more suggestion - I am new to Austin area, can you suggest any good gyne, in North west austin area or how should I decide on choosing a gyne ? I am insured.

I read your message. Here is my suggesstions. Following steps you can follow:

1. check for the fertility period using ovulation calendar. Actually if you are in 30 days cycle.. split this into 10 days each and the during the middle 10 days you should have sex. Maximum chances of get conceived are there.

2.First remove your thought that i have not still conceived. Have sex with joy and dont wait for the result.

3. After sex dont get out of bed and try to keep your pelvic raised in upward position. (in a simple way keep your legs up) and dont ever go to toilet immediately.

Hope to hear the good news as early as possible. kirthi replied. Hi pooja i read your post and we have so much in common as i also got married in feb 2003(21st)nd after that i came to us nd from last year (2005)we are ttc but no luck till now.
As my hubby is on h1 nd iam on h4 i can not work so iam at home.I know how much it kills being at home nd not getting the result month by month.
like you i also asked some astrologers in india nd they were saying that 2006 will be the year so i dont know iam just waiting .
i went to gynic for the check up in (2005) nd she said the same wat you heard from your gynic so iam just waiting to see the result for this month nd planning to goto a fertility center or somthing.
so dont worry we all are sailing in the same boat so just keep faith in god may be this is the year lets wait this month nd see.
wat i suggest here is just see this month nd go to a gynic or fertility center.As this waiting kills month by month so its better to know the cause rather than living in the false hope.

Just wanted to add that i too am int he same boat..trying for 8 months with no luck yet.:(

i have never charted bbt but have used opk a couple of times. my gyn said that there is no need for that too, but i couldnt restrain myself from using opk.

Pooja 1st thing let me tell u,If your hubby is in H1b I think there is no prob in u conceiving.Don't even consider that factor.
I know 1yr is a long time and every month counting on it is bit dissptng.
Did you gynec recommend anything for your hubby?Like seimen analysis?Coz once they check u and find everything is O.K,they usually go for hubby's SA.Pls ask him to get it done/consult the Dr.
Instead of gynec,try to visit infertility specalist.they may suggest u somthing.
Also my tips wud be.
Do not go to gym and do any hard exercise after trying.
Do not eat any food that makes your body heat ex-papaya,sesame,jaggery,coffee etc.
Laydown with 2 pillow after sex,n do not get out of the bed immdtly.
be stress free.
OPK shd work,so know your body better,chart BBT regularly n chart it.make sure its at the same time daily.
OPK have heard that its accurate,so try some good brand.
Have to tried every other day after ovultn?Coz during ovultn your eggs r released and it can be fertile at that time when u try.

This I had the same probs why iam not getting preg?I wisited Dr.too as I have been trying only from past 8mths,she did all the tests,n everything came normal,she asked me to try OPK for 2-3mths n then go to her.
In the mean time she asked hubby to go for SA,thatz the reason i suggested it to you.

Regd your dr,try calling ur insurance comp n find out,later google the perticular dr,n find out.If you have any desi friends/local desi websites start a discussion n find out.
I know some1 will be there to help out!
