Hi Girls,

How r u all ? Hope everyone is doing fine & enjoying with ur little one. My doll is doing great. I'm going to India in the last week of this month so right now i'm very confused 'bout what things i should take with me...Can u pls help me in making the list of most important things. Also i'm very worried 'bout Flying with Eesha coz she is just 5 months old by that time so if u can give me some travelling tips it would be a great help for me. I've 2-3 questions inn my mind which is bothering me a lot..

1. Should i take stroller with me or buy snuggli for travel coz i'm going with my hubby but he is coming back early & i'm coming back a month later so at that time i would be travelling alone with Eeshu & she would be 8 month old by that time.

2. The 2nd concern is 'bout diapers. Because i'm going for almost 3 months so should i take the whole supply of diapers with me or i can buy from there too. Is there any difference in quality of diapers in India & here..

3. And what type of medication i should take with me for Eesha ?

I'm very confused girls..pls help me out & if u think 'bout something else which is very important pls let me know. Pls help me in making list for travelling...

Thanks..
khushi

Hi Khushi,
Its been a while since I saw ur message on the board. How are you and Eesha doing??? Om and I are well.
I feel so jealous of you,you are going home to India, with ur little one. I wish that I could go too!!!!!!! But the only avaliable time hy hubby has is in March and we are moving into our new home then, so I can't go and I don't feel like going without him.( he will probably starve coz he doesn't know how to cook)
The only thing can say about ur travel is travel light, only take what is completely necessary. ONe of my friends just came back from India with her young child and she told me that it is hard to handle both a baby and hand baggage if you have a long stopover.
I dont think you need a lot of diapers, judt take some for the travel, India is very advanced now and plus back home you dont need a lot of diapers. Our elders will prefer \";langot\"; any way and if not, the quality of diapers is OK in India.
As for the stoller or snuggli it depends how long ur stop over is. If is very long, I dont think u would want to carry ur baby in a snuggli that long coz it really begins to hurt the back and neck after a while( I have a snuggli and cannot wear it for more than a couple of hours at a time)
For medicine, take tempra or tylenol for the flight. Ask ur doctor if you need anything else for discomfort of the baby(just to make the baby calm down)
Make sure to take a bottle of water for Eesha as she can get very thirsty on the flight.
If i can think of anything else, I will let you know.
Take care and have a good day

Hi,
Hope u and ur baby are doing good.Even i wanted to post the same question as iam also planning to goto india in feb end.In my case iam going alone with sasmeta and she will be only 4 months.I am planning to take the stroller with me as it will be easy to take her and also be helpful to take her for a walk in india during the evening times.many people who goto india with their babies take the strollers with them.Iam planning to buy diapers in india.my parents and inlaws said that i need not put diapers to sasmeta when she is in india instead to use nappies. But i think if we once stop using diapers then they will not use it when they come to US again.Regarding the medication i will consult with her doctor and take what ever he tells. So ask the doctor about it.We are also planning to put vaccine in india.

I have not started to prepare the list.so if u have already prepared please share with me.I think some of octobermoms will goto india to visit their parents. So this list will be very helpful.Iam planning to take the breastpump with me.I also have another doubt.how will u feed the baby when you are flying?.please let me know this.thanks.Sorry as iam also confused with this regard iam not able to help u out.Take care and have a safe journey
with love from
kals
