Fear of Pregnancy – Tokophobia:Fear of handling a newborn

Name: Aaron

I always thought that taking care of newborn was the most difficult thing to do. I avoided getting pregnant for a long time as I believed that I could not take care of the baby. When I got pregnant, the fear still remained.

worrying about taking care of the baby is useless as once the baby is born everything falls back into place. Literally all a baby needs is love, food, and warmth. It is important that you are with him enough in the beginning for them to form a secure attachment.

Most first time mothers have this irrational fear. they have a fear of taking care of the newborn or hurting him. i m almost 15 weeks into my pregnancy and im so scared of hurting the baby if i bump into something, like a table.
