I am bringing my parents too in jan. They are actually going for their visa on Monday. I hope everything works out well.
www(dot)path2usa(dot)com is also a good site.
I just have one importnat thing, Do not metion anywhere in ur document or ask ur parents to never mention that they r actually coming to help u for ur delivery, I know that for alot of p'ple, Visas got rejected on this.
Following will be the documents that u the sponsor has to send
Completed and notarized Affidavit of Support form I-134. You can download it from US-INS web site.
A letter from Bank/banks (on their business letter head), stating your account summary.
(Talk to your bank and ask for your Account verification letter. Which is usually on the Banks office stationary should have Date of Account open and Current balance)
Copy of your Bank Statement, showing a good balance in order to justify your financial position.
Certificate Letter from your employer (on company's business letter head), stating that you are a permanent employee of the company, and also stating your salary.
1 or 2 recent pay stub copies.
If you are a Visa holder : Copies of your - Visa (H1/L1), H1 approval form (I-797), and I-94. (If visa has expired but has a renewed petition, photocopy of the renewed petition. )
If Green card Holder : Copy of green card.
If USA citizen : Copy of certificate of citizenship.
Which ever is applicable.
A neat photocopy of your complete Passport, including even the blank pages.
Copy of recent income tax returns.
An application/letter from you to the US consulate in India (address it to the particular consulate e.g. Delhi), requesting for issuing a visitor visa to the concerned person, stating that you will be taking care of every needful for these people, including tickets, boarding and other expenses in USA.
A formal invitation letter addressed to the person (person's) you are inviting to US. Also stating that you will be taking care of all their needs while in US, including tickets, boarding and other expenses in USA.
My inlaws have come here twise, and last time they got a 10year visa. The process is a simple, rejections are very minimum and its purely luck.
Send your documents properly and u shud be fine.
All the best.

Jichi replied. Hi,
regarding the visa procedures, visit www(dot)path2usa(dot)com u will find answers to all ur questions. but one thing is for sure, while they r called for a personal interview, ur parents shoud never say that they r coming for ur delivery. they should say they want to visit the country. this is what i heard from others. they will give 6 months visa for eligible persons. dont worry. my MIL is here and she got her visa for 6 months.
Sandhya replied. Hi debi,
I'm from April board but i usually peep in to other boards too. I'm also planning to bring my parents by march. As far as the Visa is concerned usually every body gets it for 10yrs multiple entry visa. But some people do get for 6 months etc based on some criteria which only consulates will know. But after they come here they get I94 based on the way parents answer here at the immigration counter. Some people get it for 1 month & some get for 6 months. As of i've seen parents who r coming for daughter's or daughter in law's delivery reason have got for 6 months.
Details regarding the documents to be sent can be obtained by visiting www(dot)immihelp(dot)com
Hope this helps u.
Take care
