Due Date Club November 2003:baby not well

Name: jaya Yesterday Diya had watery stools.Today it is better but not normal.She is not able to take milk properly,especially during daytime,she tries to suck,maybe she gets hungry,but takes the nipple out after every few seconds and cries.I spend one hour to feed her for 15 minutes.Then I try to give some formula which also she is not willing to take.Preethu,U are right.I feel maybe,she gets a stomach ache during feeding.Maybe sort of gastroentertitis as your doctor has mentioned.I am just having patience as she feeds properly at night after she poops.Vindya,the number of wet diapers are OK,do tell me what your doc said.Praying for good health for all babies.

Niya had her appointment today, and her weight was fine. Have you checked Diya's weight lately, hope you've spoken to her doctor already.

The doctor didn't recommend anything for her stomach ache, he says it'll be alright. The tummy exercise works very well, hope you try it too. Don't worry, I am sure she will be fine soon.

Like before my son pranav is getting better infact he is still on stools but they get back to their routing milk intake , try massaging their stomach if you feel there is pain and raise their legs towards tummy and help them to pass stool . pedialyte is good to prevent dehydration

my son pranav from friday morning, did not took milk properly. I mean he was taking very less milk and was not hungry for 7 hours or so. even after 7 hours, he is taking very less milk. Friday after noon he had a big vomiting. We immediately took him to the doctor and doctor tested him and told us to give him pedialyte in between feeds if he is not taking milk properly. now he is doing OK. the doc. also told us to nurse him as often as possible. And the doc. said probably there is stomach virus or something.
The doctor office called us twice over the weekend to know the status.
The doc. said no medication necessary and it will go away on its own.

If u are trying formula for the first time, don't try now.

I STRONGLY suggest u to contact ur doctor.

Doc's appointment

Hi Vindya,
I checked her weight recently.She has not lost weight although she has'nt gained much which she was steadily doing till now.But I think she is improving day by day,so things will fall back into the track(hope so).
