Due Date Club November 2003:post c-sec ?

Hi
Hope u all r enjoying ur lil ones..
I am from the Feb '04 dd club.My dd is in 5 days.Doc. says my pelvis size is sligtly on the smaller side and that baby size is relatively large. So at this point a vaginal delivery although not completely ruled out may be a little challenging is what he feels.I want to feel at least a lil prepared to what it feels like after a c-sec. Can someone please guide me..How is the recovery and how long it takes? Is it hard to breast-feed after a c-sec?In general what all can i expect ?Thks in advance...

Hi Smiley,

I had a normal delivery, the recovery time was almost the same as Jaya's. So, I would say not to think about the type of delivery too much, but to go with an open mind and just enjoy the process. Be it C-section or a normal delivery, it's all worth it. Do update us with the good news soon.

Advance love to the newborn,
Vindhya

Hi smiley,
I did'nt have much bad experience with C-sec.I could'nt get up at all only on the first day.Next day,I could get up and walk slowly.I even started doing light exercises on the second day.It was painful to get up from the bed for one week(it was bearable). But then the pain suddenly reduced considerably. My suggestion is,if u are having pain also, try to walk as much as possible(but don't overstress yourself).Because, walking helps in healing. The only problem that I faced is that my milk started coming only after 5 days. But keep patience, and continuously let the baby suck on the breasts which will induce milk flow.Best of luck.
Jaya

Hi Smiley,
I had a c-sec.The problems i faced!
I was not able to fold my legs for at least 15-20 days. Needed help to get up for 5-10 days. The flow of the milk started only after 3 days. You can feed the baby lying down. Be careful with the stictches. Tie a cloth around it while taking bath. Do not lift any heavy weight.
My baby is now 2 months old. I am feeling okay. Just be careful at least for a month.

its my 2 cents. All the best for your delivery.Hope you have a normal and safe delivery.Keep us posted

cheers
Anu

Diaper Service Provider,Bangalore
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
