Hi everybody,

I am 24 weeks with my first pregnancy and have been feeling the baby kick off and on at odd hours.i recently started feeling the kicks, But the kicks are not consistent or prominent. Is it normal. I feel it more when i drink juice or water or eat . But there are times, like say since this morning i feel no movements. should i be feeling continuous movements or does the baby rest for longer periods. i have my appointment in another 2 weeks but cant seem to stop worrying about it.

I am in week 26 and at 22 weeks and before I also had this some wierd bubble movement or something is pulling the tummy. It was so strange.
Now past few days, the baby kicks are very prominent. It comes at same time every day. like around 3 pm during the day and in the night while going to bed.

It pains when the kicks, but a nice feeling too. I also asked the nurse about this and she said nothing to worry. the baby is fine.

few more weeks, you would also feel the kicks Dreamymommy replied. Hi Mamta....I did indeed start feeling the movements about 3 weeks ago. Like Asmi even I can' t differntiate them as kicks. Its just a wave like feeling that I feel several times during the day and night. No obvious pattern as yet. If I am to believe what the books say, babies too are like us. They have their active days and dull days so no need to worry unduly if you feel less movements some days. Maybe the baby is in a lazy mood or maybe you are too busy or preoccupied to notice. Apparently the kicks are more definite and strong from week 28-32.

Hope this puts some of your worry to rest, atleast till you get to meet your doc in two weeks.

I m in my 22nd week and I also feel the baby movements. Similar to yours, they are evident after meals or in the night. I can not differentiate if its a kick or so. I feel more like a \" rolling bubble\" feeling inside.

Baby also sleeps for a while and the sleeping pattern is not developed yet. I guess whenevr we eat or drink, the baby gets disturbed and moves around.

Donn worry much about it till your doctor says so.
