Due Date Club October 2003:To Suni about bouncer

Hi,
I read that u got an ok from your doc abt using the bouncer. Are u using the special headrest for newborns when u put your baby in the bouncer? Which company bouncer are u using?
I had asked my doc but she said that babies should not use bouncer till they can hold their neck on their own i.e. abt 3 months.
I did buy the Fisher Price kick and play bouncer but my daughters head kind of flops around if I don't support it.

Thanks
M (from Nov board)

I forgot to add that my son has two bouncers, one from Fisher Price and another from Carters.

Hi Suni
Thanks for the info. I too will go and buy the infant headrest you mentioned so that by baby can sit in it comfortably since my daughter is just 1 month old.
Thanks
M

Hi M,

I do use an infant headrest while using the bouncer. But my son, who is 2 months now, seems to sit well without one also. I buckle him up and the natural incline of the bouncer holds his head well. I also use one in the crib. My car seat, Peg Perego, comes with a headrest.

Hope this helps.
Suni
