I did not do progesterone tests and even any of the follicular stage tests. How much on average it might cost for the blood work without considering insurance coverage. I am in US. My gynec actually prescribed 1mg folic acid supplements and I started having them since one week. What other prenatal vitamins are advised to be taken? Thanks a lot for your previous reply.

I do not know how much it would cost to take these test, but will be around $200 to $300 to get most blood hormones tested. I would not suggest to go for without an insurance. Why?
Because I think you have had two messages and I thought you were over 6 weeks pregnant when I saw the very recent post and made suggestion on hormones test. But when I went back to post earlier than I replied I learned it was just entering in 5th week.

You may have experienced chemical pregnancy or blighted ovum, and good that ended up at this stage. I know you won't like saying me 'good that it ended', but such pregnancy has no future and this is primarily due to inappropriate chromosomal match or some nutrients.

you won't need additional than Folic acid in the beginning. You are doing OK. Since you had just found about pregnancy and lost at that stage wait for one or 2 cycles, no need to wait three cycles.

do not diet or do not do heavy exercise. Since you have had two miscarriages I suggested progesterone test, which I think will make lot of sense. If the levels are low in luteal phase then in the cycle you are trying you may take Progesterone after ovulation (talk to your Dr. about this) and this will avoid miscarriage to happen in future.

It's good to bring this topic while you see your gynec on next visit.

Do you really don't have insurance and live in USA? Do you have plans of economy because without insurance pregnancy can be a huge expense to bear with! Think about this.
