we have tried 2 IVF at Mother and child hospital of Dr. Nalini Mahajan at delhi . But both of them failed. During the first we transferred two grade 1 and one grade 2 embryos but it was not sucessful. During the second one we were adviced to go for blasto cyst , It seems the development of the embryos ar a little slow after 3rd day. we transferred one early blasto and two morula but was unsucess ful/. My wives tubes are blocked as per The Laparoscopy report of Gangaram hospital. But HSG done at our local hospital shows tubal patency. we are married for around 2and ahalf years and she is 38 years now. Pleaseadvice . should we go to Dr. Firuza parikh. Or should she undergo tubal cannalisation. And if so where?. please advice we are very sad

We got sucess with Dr. Mahajan at the third try. Just keep hope and follow the advice of Dr. Mahajan including the type of eggs /embryos to be used. Although earlier two ivf has failed she analysed the failure every time and made some changes in the procedure which resulted in succesful delivery of our daughter this year. The asistant doctors may be overburdened and irritating .In that case contact dr. mahajan directly via email . she will reply soon. You may remind her of replying by email by calling her in the landline. We have many other couples who had been sucessful with her help.

Dr. Mahajan and her staff are considerate. She will give time to you when you want. But I think that the ivf procedure is not a very sucessful procedure. Many patients with whom we discussed were also not sucessful after two tries and many of them had unsucessful tries in some other places also. However I must say that we came across a bengalee woman who was sucessful after four tries and gave birth to a child. while another was sucessful in getting pregnant after 2nd attempt by taking a donor egg. However we don´ t know about the final outcome. We wish her all the best. Best wishes to you also. Please share your experience as it will help the users to take a decesion

Hi,
I have been advised to go for donor egg IVF. I called Dr Mahajan´ s clinic for appointment because apparently she sees patients strictly by appointment only. However, I went thr half n hour before appointment thinking she must be organised as appointment system is practically unknown in India esp. Delhi. After waiting for an hour, the nurse called me in for routine observations (BP, Hieght etc)and then asked me to wait. Another hour later, some Dr Nupur called me in and wrote down the entire case history then asked me to wait again. Another hour went by and finally, I was called in by Dr. Mahajan. I told her that we want to go through Donor egg IVF and since we live in UK, thr are not much asian donors over thr. Also, I showed her my hysterescopy report which states everything is normal. She said that she will do a mock transfer on me right now to see my cervical passage and if it is not succesful then a hysterescopy again. I was asked to drink gallons of water and three doctors jumped on me to do mock transfer inserting some wire inside me. Can you imagine while doing that process they didnt even have proper equipment and kept on calling the nurse to bring the right equipment. As they were not able to visualize much (acc to them), only option for me was to go through hysteroscopy again. I said yes to them and gave some advance.Though I was not convinced about thr clinical reasoning for doing hysterescopy again, I still felt tempted( U become toy in hands of these commercial doctors!). Howewvr, I had to cancel the appt next day due to bad tummy. I went next day as per appointment in the afternoon, only to be told that Dr. Mahajan is not avaliable. Spoke to Dr. NUpur and said to her that I am flying back to UK the next day so will get hysteroscopy done thr if needed. On this Dr. said to me that they only need to do it as they will transfer the embryo and not Drs at UK. Also, they didnot give my advance back to me saying it is non-refundable and they can adjust it next time. So if I decide not to take treatment at her clinic then my advance is all gone.
I would not recomend that Dr to anyone. No professionalism, no confidentiality( even the ward boy knew that I was coming for hysteroscopy!) and on the top of that strange clinical reasoning.
I thought hysteroscopy is just a diagnostic procedure. However it is used as a money making gimmick by Drs in India. My consultant over here was very annoyed when I told him about this. If it has been done once, there is no need to repeat it again. it is not going to change the results in any case. The only thing this may do is create adhesions. Also on asking Dr Nupur, about what information would be provided regarding donor, I was told they will select the donor having normal Indian features (God Knows what that means). I am not going back to her at any cost and would strongly suggest not to go to her.
