hi mommies!
my doctor had advised me ultrasound last week,
the report has come and it says i have 'mild hydramnios' .. do you girls have any idea?

one more thing is my doc had initially told that my EDD will be 8th Feb based on LMP, then after first iultrasound it changes to 3rd Feb,
and now after last week its even preponed and will be sometime during 3rd week of Jan! i never heard of EDD changing so much after ultrasound.

i'm staying alone with my hubby, he's away all day, and mother in law will be coming to stay with us, but she will come in Jan only! i'm so worried, hope everything turns out fine !

Just checked in web and found that Hydroamnios is caused due to excess amount of amniotic fluid. It seems Mild hrdramnios is not a problem at all. Excess fluid accumulated will return back to its normal level it's own. But there is a mild chance of preterm labor with this condition, so that's why may be doc preponed EDD. It seems if you have severe breathing trouble, abdominal pain, swelling or bloating then you have to contact doctor. Physician can provide medication to prevent preterm labor and they may do amniocentesis to remove excess fluid. But all this is for severe hydramnios. Mild hydramnios is more common and it will resolve its own. So don't worry nothing will happen, keep praying and do regular checkups.

Usha vidya replied. I dont know what hydraminos is...but I can tell you abt. scan ..I've gone thru' the same for my first baby...Her edd was on feb 03...but around dec first week , the doc. told it might be postponed to feb end as the baby was small and later in a scan in dec last week and seeing the position of the baby she told that EDD might be any time....my girl was born on 3'rd week of jan...from what I've read, the scan during the first 2-3 months of preg. is accurate and gives the correct edd while the ones done in later stage is not.....
