Name: Shannu Hi there yall.....
I had my 3 hr GTT test last weekend. The Doc has not yet called up.I called up to enquire and the assistant there says that the sugar level is high and the Doc will talk with me soon...... Am really worried abt the results.... I have read in the message board that we need to check the sugar level everyday by pricking our fingers and testing the blood...... I am really terrified....

Now another prob that am facing is that I have got this Itching feeling in my feet...Was not able to sleep Sterday night...... Hope that everything is fine with me and my baby.... Do keep mailing in.... Take care

HI Shannu,
Please don't get discouraged! When I found out about this I cried and cried, but I am getting used to the insulin shot which my husband gives me every morning(it doesn't hurt at all..I swear), and pricking my fingers 4X a day...Hope you won't have to go through this..but just to make you feel better I went to a gestational diabetes class and 3 out of the 4 women were \";desis\"; 2 INdian and 1 Pakistani and the other Philipino.

Us Indians really have to be careful about carbs...I am following a very very regulated diet now..can you beleive even milk and fruit are carbohydrates???

God Bless You, but please don't think you are in this alone if it comes to that! I hate doig this and my fingers hurt at times, but you really get used to it...I've gotten so much support from my family..and then again Shannu remember its for your BABY right?

Hi there Ritu....
I was really very much relieved after Cing Ur mail.... Good to know that am not alone. But really it scares me .... I will overcome it real soon.I have to.
Then how R U now? And how long R U supposed to take these Shots????? I hope that its not for long..... Do take care of Urself...Ok?
I am planning to meet the Doc tomorrow...I have got this Itching feeling at night.... Its a real trouble(Itching in the middle of the night). I am yet to meet the Doctor(reg the sugar level).... The assistant at the clinic told me that he will talk to me...But nothing as yet has happened....... So I will call up again tomorrow.... Then may B I will B told abt the diet that I have to follow..... Hoping for the best...... Take care of Urself Ritu....... Thats all for now
