Hi Moms
Those of u who r supplementing I wanted to know if ur using Ready2Drink or Powder Forumla.
If ur using the powder r u using Bottle water to mix it or are u boiling water and storing in thermos. Can u use filtered tap water and boil it.
How many hrs can we use the water in the thermos?
I use both Ready2Drink and Powder. Till now I have been using bottled water and warming it up for few min in the bottle warmer. But I want to change to regular water coz they might not build immunity.
Also R u guys using Multivitamins? My doc suggested me PolyViSol with Iron, babies seem to be vomiting a lot, so I stopped it. Will ask my doc in the next visit.
Also for Colic I found the swing to be of help.
The Fischer Price Aquarium Bouncer Swing is really nice.
Hope u and ur lil ones are having fun, mine are getting naughtier. They are over 2.5 months now, seeing faces, smiling and recongnise me well.
Thats it for now..

Glad to know u r fine..don't worry about the formula, its better than being frustrated and wondering if baby is having enof. Though i fu want to breast feed more, u can still do it by feeding more often, i can assure u milk does increase if baby sucks more and latches fine and if u are relaxed. seen my milk go up and down prev used to keep saving milk in case i don't have it later..now not so scared.
As for work schedule, dying to get back to work...though i am scared too but miss the schedule of early morning and running around at work. we have registered in the office day care, seems is the best in city, went had a look, great place, take from 6 weeks onwards we will take her after 3 months if we do get it, still in waiting list.
otherwise reg in others too incase we don't get by mar. lovely place, heated floors, only 4 infants per nurse and assistant, and plus they help us direct our child as per the growth physically and mentally so will help us give a dirn. many transition rooms to help baby move along and later will even help potty train..i was impressed with care and detail..now jsut praying we get thru. will take her part time if we get earlier so MIL will get break too and we don't lsoe the vacancy.
Otherwise, got the pump, she is taking bottle of breastmilk without any prob till now. formula had 4 feeds in the past week no rashes yet so think its safe.
this month will start afternoon schedule like i am working to see how she adjusts last 10 days will start like office schedule so she gets used to being with MIL.
March hoping to start part time day care so she gets used to the people there. Hoping all works as planned till now anu has always done everything unexpected..:), have pump to work, then if its less have the formula at hand if needed..hope it all works out
I hope u do get back to work someday, its diff with twins, but hope u get adequate facility, is a nanny less exp than daycare? Only fear every paretn has is infection but check out cleanliness, some facilities are very good.
I cannot imagine me handling twins..would be a wreck..all the best when they start walking around :) don't think u will need exercise u will reduce automatically :)
ITs tiring but somehow eveytime i see her helpless waiting and looking or smiling i just get up again...MIL says now rest only after they settle down..till then next 20 yrs tensions grow every year, work never gets done :) so enjoy now.
I am waiting for her to talk so i don't misunderstand what she wants. :) then maybe we need patience to answer them.
Anyway stopping now have to go..if u feel like writing u can write to me at radhikap (@) hotmail.take care..
All the best

Everytime i breastfeed i wonder how u are coping with 2 of them, hats off to u..and managing the 1st month..after the 3 weeks once we get settled its fine.
I am also thinking of keeping option of formula use after work..we tried an ounce to see if she has an allergy now so we don't keep her hungry later. Got free samples from hospital of similac and enfamil lipil.
From exp of friends said enfamil is easy to digest and non sticky so tried that anu had no prob.
We have a bottle warmer for warming breastmilk and formula..better option for formula is to boil water, cool a bit keep in thermos and so u have water ready to use anytime, then add formula as a when u need it, ready to use formulas in the long run very expensive, if u can afford it it gr8 ...and u have to throw the left over. we can make 2 ounces/one as we need with powder.water we use nursery water we get for kids..check in walmart.
for vitamins still using prenatal doc asked to continue same.
bargavi, if u have time read secrets of baby whisperer...gives a whole load of tips on breastfeeding/formula...babies behaviour with 2 of them will help a lot..i am amazed reading it, we used to always say we don't have a manual with an infant...this is almost like one, covers all aspects, feeding and pacifying kids..baby shower gift for anyone this is the book..
Hope both kids adjusted with each other, have u started work? how are managing with the pumping? i have a load of ques and doubts of hadnling her after work. hope it all works out..take care..

Nice to hear that ur doing fine.
Well, I am not 100% satisfied with what I am doing. I pump and nurse and also supplement. I am sure I cud have avoided the supplements if I nursed them all day... jus cudnt do it initially. Now its ok I guess.
Yaa both kids are now adjusted with each other and in a routine.
Without my mom I sure cudnt have come this far.
I surely will try to check out the book u mentioned.
I quit my job in the fear of how to handle my twins. Looking for a stay home nanny to go back to work.
Good Luck to all of u who r going back to work. Let me know how u all balance work and home, it might give me some strength.
Though its tiring I am happy to have twins, I feel I am kind of done with the whole thing in one shot. Enjoying motherhood.
