let me start off by praising your contribution to this board.. i heard your not very old and i must say - ur doing a great job! keep it up pal ;)

the remedies you suggested are great - and they work well on my skin. before i started to apply these herbal masks my skin was literally like shit. (excuse my lang.) i had pimples dotted everywhere on my forehead.. the colour had gone from fair (at birth) to sanwali (in teens). i was soo depressed that i turned to the internet for advice.. initially in search for a fairness cream. and what do u know? i typed 'fairness creams' into the search engine and one of the first useful sites i got onto was 'indianparenting.' hardly a surprise - seeing as usually the focus of discussion is how to be fair etc. (haha)

anyways - back on topic - i started off with honey+lemon which was great as a starter. not only did it lighten my complexion by a shade but my pimples were disappearing. i couldnt have been happier that day!

eventually i ran out of honey (haha) so being the lazy me.. i walked into my kitchen and made an alomond + milk paste which i decided to leave overnight.

the results are good saniya.. but my skin aint fair! like i had when i was a kid.. what shall i do?

dont get me wrong.. it has lightened it by a shade or two atleast but not enough to be 'fair.'
in the right light i can be classified as fair.. but i dnt wana depend on the light (if u know what i mean)

what shall i do?
saniya replied. always remember that u cannot get fairer than ur natural colour unless u use harmful chemicals like bleach,hydroquinine,etc..
if u havent still reached ur targe goals,then keep using the paste daily.it might take as long as a year or 6 to return to ur natural colour..but the results r amazing!and safe!!then,again if u get dark,u can always revert to this paste.its better to make it a part of ur daily routine.after reaching ur target complexion,u can apply it thrice a week to prevent further darkness of the skin.im strictly against beautiful's advice as how do u expect to get fair by sitting in the sun?that too with oil on ur body?im not sure about this but i feel its totally wrong!!be on the safer side.if u manage to get honey,then apply honey and lemon too daily for 15 minutes and thenw ash it off plus,use the almond and milk paste.spray on rose water on ur face before going out...my aunt is a beautician and she told me that rose water acts like a sunscreen.when it dries off,u can step out.take care and good luck!

saniya Beautiful replied. hey jan im sure your a really pretty gal. You cant change your complexion you can only lighten it. best way to lighten your complexion and make it fair is apply olive oil to the face 2x dail and to the body 2x daily.

You cant change your genes and become absolutely WHITE but you can get nearly fair by applying olive oil daily and to make the procedure fast apply olive oil and sit in the sun for 30 mins the sun will exfoliate and get rid of the dead dark layers of skin.
