C-Section:Diet and Belt Question

Hi,

I have had a c-section performed on me two weeks back. Can I start wearing the belt around my tummy right now or should I wait longer? How long?

Also, what diet should I be on? Can I start eating fruits? Which of the fruits can I eat (banana, watermelon, white grapes, orange, mosambi)?

Thanks in anticipation,
Ritu

hi,
I had a C-section about 10 months back and I started wearing belt after 2 days/..moreover without wearibng belt or without wrapping my tummy tightly i could not walk as my uterus enlarged too much and i used to feel as if some bag is hanging..Instead of wearing belt I had takena cotton dupatta and wrapped it tightly around my waist..after 1 month I started wearing proper belt and it helped me a lot to reduce the size of my tummy within 1.5 months..

it is not advisable to use a belt if u have ahd a c-section , atleast before a month, coz u the stiches r likely to be bothered.apples, pears,n a little of all fruits shld be ok.. but not grapes n oranges.

RE:C-Section
C-sections are planned when the mother wishes to escape the labor pain or in emergencies like if the cord is entangled around the baby's neck and the baby's life is at risk. But i think natural delivery is always a better option.... - Neeta [View Message]
