C-Section:Husband's presence during delivery

Hi,

Can my husband be present along side with me in the operation theater while c-section is being performed on me? Do my husband or myself have any rights that we can exercise to make this happen?

Thanks,
Rama

Hi Rama,

Yes your husband should be allowed to be with you during your c-section. During labor, I had both my mom and husband with me but when they had to do an emergency C the Dr's told both of them that only one of them was allowed in during the procedure. Good luck! Hope this helps out

RE:C-Section
C-sections are planned when the mother wishes to escape the labor pain or in emergencies like if the cord is entangled around the baby's neck and the baby's life is at risk. But i think natural delivery is always a better option.... - Neeta [View Message]
