Hi supriya,
My son is 21 months old now. Problem with him is he doesn' t speak. I have seen lot of msgs from u abt this topic. My son is very active & he understands everything i say , the only thing is he doesn' t speak. He doesn' t even call me ' mamma' . Iam really worried:( What can do to make him talk? He says around 6 to 7 words thats it. Please help . Do u live in Michighan where? I live in farmington hills.

and for library classes.they usually sent a note thru post about the information of all classes.this month its all full.you can go online to check about it too.when they publish the registration date for the classes,it gets full the same day.

iam basically from kerala,brought up in chennai. nanda replied. try if he can chant \" om\" which is a vibration which can cause your son to feel his mouth and brain connected. supriyasanoj replied. Hai rani.just saw your message.some kids are like this.when my son was not talking everyone was blaming me,that iam not giving proper attention to him,not talking with him etc.but my daughter who is 2 yrs old now speaks in 2 languages and that too in sentences.
there is nothing to be worried.take him to your local library.read to him books with simple words and lots of pictures.the best way to talk with boys is,talk to them about the thing that they are so much intrested.eg my son is intrested in knife,remote,cell phone etc.so whenever he takes one,instead of snatching it or saying no.just tell him in simple and clear words.they will surely develope intrest in talking.
watching certain programs in tv also helps,like Barney,Tellitubbies,GO diago,wiggles,etc.if he is saying few words just keep on reapeting them often and add new words slowly.
the best thing to do is talk with your pediatrition.she will give you best guidence.our pediatrition reffered our son to speech therapist at our local school district.there he was evaluated and selected for the 2 year old program.now is is 3.5 years old and he is in preeschool.in speech he is still not up to the mark,but he is receving speech therapy and he is doing so much better in saying words.
