Milestones:my 17 month old doesnt talk yet!

my 17 month old baby girl doesnt talk yet. She just says amma and appa (mom and dad)... thats it.
I wonder why.. while many other kids i know say a lot many more words...

Hi,
Don't worry at all. Sometime soon she is going to blurt out sentences. To make you feel better, Einstein didn't speak until he was 3. Some kids are just like her. When they start to speak, there won't be a stop to it.

Just make sure she is listening or hearing okay and watches you attentively when you speak. Try speaking very softly behind her and see if she is turning towards the sound. If you find something odd, then discuss with her Pediatrician.

Keep on talking and encourage her to speak by asking her a lot of questions. Even if she says 'Ah' for 'apple', say 'that's right, it is apple' and clap. Kids her age will definitely love that.

Good luck and don't worry about others. Each kid is different.

Hello Mommies !!!
My son is one year old and he is not doing few things a one year should do !!
He does not point at things
He does not say Amma or any words

9.5 months milestones
My DS is 9.5 months old and does not clap wave or point at things !! I will put down a list which he is good at and which one worries me.
