Due Date Club July 2005:whole milk?

I want to start Anushka on whole milk. Do you warm it up a bit, or would it be okay to give it cold. I like my chocolate milk cold; so was wondering whether she will enjoy cold milk or warm?

Regards,
Sheetal

Sheetal... even I boil the milk and only then give to Nikku. What I do is abt 15-20 mins before her feed time, I pour little quantity in small bowl, and microwave for 2 mins. It gets boiled. Then I let it cool to lukewarm, remove the cream, and feed my baby. I have started giving it once a day... I am planning to give her BM for her other 3 feedings of the day for some time more as I am available at home and BM has its advantages. Hope this helps,
Regards,
Bhairavi.

Sheetal,
Each baby is different and their taste would as well.
You can give Anushka whole milk from the very next day of her first B'day or around that time.

I would not flavor the milk with chocholate or anything like that. Let her have it as a plain, just like breast milk.

Remember however to boil milk brought from dairy or farm, whichever may be the source -when it comes to baby never trust sterilization done by others so that be of any international standards. Let it cool completely or give her in warm condition, you will know it soon what type of milk Anushka favors.

I have been boiling and storing milk in fridge all night long and in the morning when Advait is up, we warm the milk in microwave just to luke warm consistency and give it to him. He likes it when it's warm if provided cold he will throw that up. On the other hand he does enjoy cold water and spoons of fruit juices. but with milk it has to be luke warm. So listen to Anushka.

Archie

hi, i too boil milk, let is cool until lukewarm and then remove the layer of creme and give that to nirja.its generally lukewarm when that layer is formed. i got this vaccum flask, wherein the milk/ne fluid, stays in the same temperature upto 12 hours,,so i store her warm milk for whole day.

Hi Sheetal

I started whole milk for Trisha last week. I boil the milk fully like we do in India and cool it and i keep it in fridge.so whenever i want i will warm it lightly. Though here the milk is fully pasturized and homogenised but when its for our baby i prefer to boil the needed milk for the whole day and keep it in fridge.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
