1 cup milk sugarless

1 boiled egg or omlette

evening-
1/2 cup tea sugarless
3-4 salted biscuits

1 vegetable

I am not sure what amount of carbs u have been asked to take..for me it was 30 gms per snack and 45 gms per meal.
So 3 chappatis and dal was out..thats way more than 45gms. i cup of cooked rice is i think 30-40gms. roti max 1. idli was 1/2..
veg - ate lot of salads, spinach, karela kind any veg if u know the carb value except for peas/corn/apples/bananas were prohibited. they have high glucose/sugar content.

At times used t get bored with the same veg..but did it anyway. milk i had to stop the protein shakes, so compensated with egg whites.

Check the nutrition value of everything.if not on label then u get most of it online too.

not sure if they do this in india/just US haven' t heard any of my friends go thru the test..here at the hospital meeting they were very specific of outside food intake and indian food specifically too. our dals/rice/roti all have carbs..only one benefit in whole wheat stuff..if label says 30 gms and it has 5-7 gms of fiber then u can deduct that so 30-5 so 25 is the sugar content..
Talk to the nurse/dietician. I had their numbers with me if i needed any help.
peanut butter and one slice bread whole wheat is a good snack too.
Talk to the dietician so ur personal case is taken care..or if u r testing sugar u will realize whats increasing the sugar level and which isn' t.
All the best.
Take care
Radhika
