hi all,
no news for so long.i was admitted in the hospital for two days.
suffered from gastrointestetris-fever,loose motions and vomitting.
i ate something from outside and this was the result.
they montitered the baby heartbeat many times and its all ok.
i have to take several medicines now. worried whether they will affect the well being of my baby.
they have stopped iron and calcium for 15 days.
greatly worried.
how u all r doing?
love to all moms and the little ones.

Hi Smriti,

Sorry to hear that you were not well... Hope you are feeling better now...
As Jichi has mentioned, dont worry, most medication prescribed during pregnancy mainly concentrates on baby' s well being while curing the mum to be :-)
Take care,
Tanvi

Hi Smirti,

Dont worry....this does happen to some.....my friend had been through the same.....she too was admitted in the hospital, infact several times during her pregnancy for this..Becareful when eating outside foods. Eating steamcooked foods doesnt do any harm.....but any fried, cooked food does have reaction for some pregnant women....i suffered similarly like you. I used to throw-up if i eat outside food. If i cannot able to cook i ask my dh to cook for me. Even if my friends invite us, i request them not to use even frozen fried items as i am totally sensitive to that now.

Most of the medications given during pregnancy are really mild and it wont pass the placenta (i read in some book) dont worry.....eat healthy....and enjoy your pregnancy,

take care,
Jichi
