hi girls,

Hope u are all doing fine and enjoying with your baby.My baby vomits the milk after she drinks it.yesterday i tried to give her milk by lying down.After sometime she vomited the whole milk she drank.The milk came through her nose and mouth.It made me very upset.Today i tried to feed her by making her sit(even i was sitting).Again she vomited almost half of the milk she drank.Is it normal?.Even if her tummy is full she asks for milk (opens her mouth wide)and cries.If i give her then she vomits the excess milk she drank.what shall i do?:-( please give me some solution.How do u girls feed ur babies?.does ur baby too vomit like this?.When i saw the milk coming from her nose i started to cry....please help me out.

throwing up is very common among infants, so don't worry or cry.
While feeding make sure that her nose is not blocked thru ur breast and she is able to breath properly thru her nose, and she should be little bit in upright position, not totally flat. After every feed don't forget to burp her, and keep her upright for some time on ur shoulders. I also faced the same problem, my baby was also throwing up just like u said. Try to burp her between the feeding also, like every 5 mins or so. You can reduce her feeding time, and time between the feedings also. I mean feed her for few mins, let her digest, then again feed her soon. try this for a day or 2, then later u can switch back to 2 hrs time gap. i am sure ur baby will be better soon.

Sorry to hear about the vomiting.

I don't have first-hand experience, but my friend faced this very same problem. She was told by the doctor that she was feeding too much. I believe there is a limit i.e., 2 ounces every 2 hours or something like that. Please call your doctor and talk to him/her about the amount you need to feed.
