I am from Bangalore, we were thinking of moving to chennai, due to my husbads work. Just wanted to know hows that place for eucation, culture and other facilities.

Chaitanya replied. Hi - ask some one who has already lived in chennai and moved to bangalore that is me. Let me tell you, I lived in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Chennai. It' s theee worst place which i lived in till now. It' s like a big village got a very mass culture and people are not friendly at all and will not accept out siders. The hell of the topic is that the WEATHER in chennai really sucks you. We had to use the A/C' s even in winter. I felt like getting out of jail when i came to bangalore, it' s heaven of weather over here. People in Chennai don' t know any other language except tamil, every where sign boards u see in tamil only. People are not at all helpful, even when you say you don' t know tamil, still they speak in tamil only. On top of that, cost of living is much higher in Chennai comparing to bangalore. In all the ways, I felt Chennai is the worst place in the country to live. It has extreme summers, extreme cyclones and extreme people who are addicted only to tamil. What else, infrastructure of the city is like Hell. You ask me any thing, in one liner i can say, you will not at all enjoy life when you move from Bangalore to Chennai.

sujith replied. well lemme start to tell u abt chennai.....a very good place to live..its always good if u live in residential areas like anna nagar,Tnagar,KKnagar,adayar etc...if u live in suburbs u might not get into the city life.Schools are good in chennai u have many schools depending on ur budget.regarding culture very nice place with beaches u can hang out during the weekends.mega malls and drive along ECR makes ur stay a pleasant one.traffic is less when compared to b' lore..i wish u a great success and welcome to chennai..
