Moms consider giving their baby up for adoption only when they do not have a choice,. sometimes rape victims or victims of incest become pregnant and if somehow they have to continue with the pregnancy, they cannot bring up the baby for fear of social stigma and in such cases, they give the baby for adoption. Sometimes poverty also is the cause of giving up the baby for adoption. it is not easy for mother to give the baby for adoption and only after much thinking do they take this extreme step. In my family only i have seen my mother giving her first born child, a son to her distant cousin as they could not conceive a child even after years of trying. when i asked my mom about this, she said that giving someone happiness gave her immense satisfaction and she knew that the child will be well taken care of. I know that she might have a pinch in her heart due to giving up her right on her son but nevertheless, she is happy.
